This is an image of a Polish postcard with an important image depicted on the front. This image is significant because even though the people of Poland went through so much heartache and struggle throughout World War 2 and most of their history, the people still have a strong sense nationalism and pride for their nation. This shows that those that send off their family to fight in the war and those that lost loved ones in war are still hanging onto that one shred of hope that they, along with their country, will survive this time of struggle.

This image is known world wide as the official Nazi Party flag. This image is important because this flag dominated the majority of Europe during World War 2. Germany was a huge threat to surrounding European countries including Poland. When Germany became extremely manipulative and militarily powerful, they were easily able to conquer weaker counties like Poland. By doing this, they were able to spread horrid Nazi ideals and values throughout Europe. In the end, the truly made World War 2 even more devastating.

This picture shown is a newspaper article from September 17th, 1939 with the enlarged title of "Reds invade Poland". This newspaper article is significant because it shows how the invasion was a complete tragedy for the Polish people. This marked an end to Polish culture, and everyday life and began a "reign of terror" in which Polish nationalist and Polish Jews were targeted and forced to hide or else, they would die. The Polish people have no idea whether or not their culture will reappear again. Imagine living in a place where your culture got completely destroyed. How would you feel about this?

This is a picture of a Polish woman holding her daughter after the German Luftwaffe struck Warsaw during the first few days of the Poland invasion. This picture depicts the true suffrage of the Polish people during this time period and how this invasion changed their life forever. The emotions shown in both the woman and the child's face allow the viewer to empathize and get as true understanding of what one person in Poland had to go through.

In this picture, Nazi leader and chancellor Adolf Hitler is saluting and overseeing his army of Nazi soldiers while they begin to occupy Poland. This is an important image because it truly depicts the amount of power Hitler had. He was manipulative, conniving, clever, and intelligent and was able to use all of these abilities in order to come up with effective war tactics and strategies during his reign. These strategies are what made the invasion of Poland possible.

This is a political cartoon of a Nazi solider playing the "Poland invaders" video game. This shows the power of the Nazi militia and how they were easily able to take over Poland without defeat. This is also poking fun at Poland and depicts them as a "weak" nation. This can also give the reader insight into the bias of the cartoon illustrator, and their thoughts on the Invasion of Poland.
