1. Beriman kepada Allah

Surah Al - A’raf : 180

‎وَلِلّٰهِ الْاَسْمَاۤءُ الْحُسْنٰى فَادْعُوْهُ بِهَاۖ وَذَرُوا الَّذِيْنَ يُلْحِدُوْنَ فِيْٓ اَسْمَاۤىِٕهٖۗ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ۖ

Dan Allah memiliki Asma'ul-husna (nama-nama yang terbaik), maka bermohonlah kepada-Nya dengan menyebutnya Asma'ul-husna itu dan tinggalkanlah orang-orang yang menyalahartikan nama-nama-Nya. Mereka kelak akan mendapat balasan terhadap apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.

Surah Al - A’raf : 54

Sungguh, Tuhanmu (adalah) Allah yang menciptakan langit dan bumi dalam enam masa, lalu Dia bersemayam di atas ‘Arsy. Dia menutupkan malam kepada siang yang mengikutinya dengan cepat. (Dia ciptakan) matahari, bulan dan bintang-bintang tunduk kepada perintah-Nya. Ingatlah! Segala penciptaan dan urusan menjadi hak-Nya. Mahasuci Allah, Tuhan seluruh alam.

-It is possible to begin readings and preparation prior to online class.

2. Be Careful With our Tone

While an online conversation with friends doesn’t necessarily require much thought, the same doesn’t go for when we are having a conversation with professors. We should be careful with capitalization, as writing in ALL-CAPS can oftentimes be interpreted as YELLING! and will be viewed as impolite.

3.Don’t Overuse the Chat Box

Many online classes come with chat boxes to help students communicate. It serve as a way of letting students communicate with each other and ask questions related to what we are learning. However, if not used carefully it can turn into a distraction box.We should know to only use the chatbox when your text is going to be relevant to the topic we’re discussing in class.

4. Intention because of God

وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ (_{Al Bayyinah}_{; 5} )

Pillars of Islamic Belief and a story about Ummu Haram

The five pillars of Islam define the basic identity of Muslims – their faith, beliefs and practices – and bind together a worldwide community of over a billion believers into a fellowship of shared values and concerns.

*Shahadah (Testimony of Faith)

The profession of faith, is the first pillar of Islam. Muslims bear witness to the oneness of God by reciting the creed,
“There is no true God worthy of worship but God and Muhammad is the last and final Messenger of God.”

*Salah (Prayer)
Salah, is the second pillar. salah can be performed alone, but it is meritorious to perform it with another person or with a group. It is permissible to pray at home, at work, or even outdoors; however, it is recommended that Muslims perform salah in a mosque.

*Zakat

Social responsibility is considered part of one’s service to God; the obligatory act of zakat enshrines this duty. Zakat prescribes payment of fixed proportions of a Muslim’s possessions for the welfare of the entire community and in particular for its neediest members.

*Sawm (Fasting)
Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, is the fourth pillar of Islam. Ordained in the Holy Qur’an, the fast is an act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a richer perception of God. Fasting is also an exercise in self-control whereby one’s sensitivity is heightened to the sufferings of the poor.

*Hajj (Pilgrimage)
The pilgrimage to Makkah, is the fifth pillar and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity in the world. For those Muslims who are physically and financially able to make the journey to Makkah, the Hajj is a once in a lifetime duty that is the peak of their religious life. The Hajj is a remarkable spiritual gathering of over two million Muslims from all over the world to the holy city. In performing the Hajj, a pilgrim follows the order of ritual that the Prophet Muhammad performed during his last pilgrimage.

Story about Ummu Haram

Umm Haram Binti Malhan is the sister of Umm Sulaim RA who is the aunt of Anas Bin Malik, a young man who often helped Rasulullah salallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam in various matters. Umm Haram and her sister were also among the Anshar women who pledged allegiance to Rasulullah. Baiat is a promise to Rasulullah to follow him and follow in spreading the teachings of Tawhid.To make Ummu Haram one of the first women to embrace the teachings of Islam. Umm Haram herself, is a woman who has high intentions to participate in jihad and fight on the side of the Prophet. But unfortunately, his wish has never been achieved even until the death of the Prophet. Let's see the completeness of the story of Ummu Haram Binti Malhan.

IHSAN

#Ihsan, which means excellence in belief is the neglected 1/3 of our deen. It is to believe in God Almighty without the slightest speck of doubt.

#Ihsan...what does it mean? , it has a vast array of meanings. It cannot be summed up prettily in one English word or phrase. Ihsan is excellence. It is perfection. It is beauty. It is balance, harmony, discipline, good character, softness, gentleness, improvement, drive, will power. Ihsan is a human reflection.

#In Surat Ar-Rahman, (Quranic chapter "The Merciful"), Allah (swt) uses one of the most powerful and difficult to use literary devices - the rhetorical question. If you have studied literature to any extent, you will know that the rhetorical question can only be used in very special, particularized situations and it can only be used when the author has much confidence and much leverage in the answer and the motivation for asking the question.

*A huge number of verses in Qura’n and several sayings of the Prophet Muhammad indicate the great importance that has been given to environmental concerns and the responsibility of man to the environment. The concept of sustainable development in Islam can be defined as “The balanced and simultaneous realization of consumer welfare, economic efficiency, attainment of social justice, and ecological balance in the framework of a evolutionary knowledge-based, socially interactive model defining the Shuratic process”. The Shuratic process is the consultation or participatory ruling principle of Islam.

Water Rights
In the Shariah, there is a responsibility placed on upstream farms to be considerate of downstream users. A farm beside a stream is forbidden to monopolize its water. After withholding a reasonable amount of water for his crops, the farmer must release the rest to those downstream.

Sustainable Forestry
Islamic legislation on the preservation of trees and plants finds its roots in Qura’nic teachings of Prophet. They include the following: “Whoever plants a tree and looks after it with care, until it matures and becomes productive, will be rewarded in the Hereafter” and “If anyone plants a tree or sows a field and men, beasts or birds eat from it, he should consider it as a charity on his part”.

Public Participation
The protection, conservation, and development of the environment and natural resources is a mandatory religious duty to which every Muslim should be committed. This commitment emanates from the individual’s responsibility before God to protect himself and his community. God has said, “Do good, even as God has done you good, and do not pursue corruption in the earth. God does not love corrupters”.

Participating in Usrah II is definitely one of the wonderful moments I had throughout my second semester in CFS. I gained a lot of new things - knowledge, experience and of course, friendship :)

✿ REFLECTIONS ✿

Such knowledge I've learnt includes the wisdom behind each of the element of the Pillars of Islam. Other than that, we also discussed every topic that was set for the role play in great amount of details, and it really helped me enhancing my knowledge.

✿ SUGGESTIONS ✿

To increase the efficiency of the Usrah session, it might be a good idea to occasionally combine two groups of Usrah at a time. That way, I believe that more inputs can be obtained and greater opinions would be able to be generated in a short amount of time.

✿ FINAL WORDS ✿

I would like to take this chance to say thanks to all of my usrahmates for all the memories made throughout the times we spent together, and sorry for any of my mistakes.
