         <description><![CDATA[<div>What causes did people begin to take up to improve the world?</div><ul><li>People began to take up anti-pollution like anti water and air pollution causes. There were discoveries made in medication that lead to remedies for diseases. Anti alcohol and anti animal extinction movements also began.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>What did Thomas Malthus predict?</div><ul><li>He predicted that if humans continued to expand their numbers then soon mass starvation would take place on earth.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>Give examples of new pollution affecting the world.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>The water became unsafe to drink and sewage was found everywhere on the streets. It also created massive forms of diseases and insanitation everywhere. Forest fire begins and the pollution begins to take a toll on the environment. However, this also led to some of the first reform groups being formed who fought for anti pollution laws and regulations.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>Why did sanitation become so important?</div><ul><li>Sanitation became very important because many people were dying from the results of uncleanliness and horrible living conditions because of the enlightenment and industrialization. Hospitals were soon built to combat insanitation and diseases. Diseases like cancer and typhoid soon began to exist and infect people&nbsp;</li></ul><div>How was the air pollution at this time?</div><ul><li>There was air pollution however it was being combated with new inventions and new ways of production such as the stopping of wood burning.</li></ul><div>How was the water pollution at this time?</div><ul><li>There was extreme water pollution with diseases and unsanitary water conditions being everywhere. water lines were built slowly however much of the population died due to water pollution and unsanitary conditions.</li></ul><div>What happened when the “Mother of the Forest” was cut down?</div><ul><li>When the mother of the forest was cut down, it was used for display in carnival sideshows.&nbsp;<br><br></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
