         <title>The Role of HR and Finance in School Administration</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The role of Human Resources and Finance in School Administration could be categorized as a symbiotic relationship in that both departments rely heavily on each other in order to operate.&nbsp; Human Resources relies on the ability of the Finance department to appropriate the necessary revenue for Human Resources to recruit, hire, train, and ensure that employees are provided with a multitude of fringe benefits.&nbsp; Finance, on the other hand, must ensure that they work together with Human Resources to have them avoid creating multiple or unnecessary roles, require training that may not have the necessary funding needed to see through, or discuss possible fringe benefits with new recruits that Finance is unable to fund.&nbsp; According to Rebore (2012), carrying out the directives from Human Resources can sometimes be complex "because of staff reductions due to decreasing enrollment or decreases in revenue brought about by the downturn in the economy".          <title>Leverage Leadership and the Importance of Effective School Administration</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Chapter 6, Bambrick-Santoyo (2012) suggests five strategies for a successful staff culture including: 1) setting a vision, 2) bringing the right people on board, 3) making a strong staff culture a priority from the moment employees are hired, 4) being aware of signs that culture is deteriorating, and 5) mold and review your staff culture continually.&nbsp; Human Resources and Finance could benefit by using these strategies.&nbsp; Human Resources must create a vision and share this with Finance so that they are aware of the goals when it comes to recruiting, training, and providing fringe benefits.&nbsp; They must also ensure that staff culture is positive in order to avoid turnover and ensure that new hires are easy to bring on board.  Finally, they must be aware of signals that show signs of a deteriorating staff culture as well as continue to improve and maintain a positive culture.</div>]]></description>
