Virtual classrooms are excellent for remote teaching as you can set your work for the lesson(s) but also you can leave extra resources such as revision handouts, tenses tutorials, playlist in the target language, Netflix suggestions etc for the students to explore during their own time.  There are many tutorials online that explain how to design your own and how to use it. This video tutorial below explains  how to create your own bitmoji classroom. It can be a good place to start and then, the sky is the limit.

I tried out an oral version of the game during a Google Meet with my tiny Higher Italian class of 2. I used classroomscreen.com to create my background, which gave me a dice tool and a text box for my sentences. Whoever rolled the highest number began (I rolled the die), the pupils then took it in turns to translate the sentences orally. If they got the full sentence correct, I simply popped their initials next to it. In the meantime I was continuously rolling the die trying to get a six. As soon as I rolled a six the pupils swapped roles. One pupil was able to roll the dice for himself using the classroomscreen at home, which definite made it easier to manage, but that would depend on what device pupils are using and of course you'd have to trust them to actually roll a six! As with regular 'one pen, one die' the winner was the person to correctly translate the most sentences.
