G Suite by Google Cloud

G Suite offers such a great set of tools! Everything is connected to your gmail account and is automatically saved to your google drive - a file storage and synchronization system - and allows you to link and share among all of the applications. A couple of my most-used applications are Docs & Slides which are similar to Microsoft's Word and PowerPoint and, as a bonus, you can download files that you've created in the G Suite in those formats if so desired. They're great for collaboration between staff and peers!

YouTube is such an awesome tool for learning - there are video tutorials for virtually anything you can think of, educational videos (such as the one in the image below), and for those days that recess is indoors, great for entertainment as well. My grade 5 AT uses it to show music videos by Ok Go! and Walk Off The Earth - two groups that are well known for fun and interactive videos.
A really handy thing that I learned from a video tutorial for a PowerPoint presentation that I did for Social Studies is how to embed an interactive Google Map into the presentation - you can find the super helpful video for that here.

Google Classroom is an application that you can use in harmony with the G Suite for all of your students - check it out in the introductory video here. It's basically a digital classroom that allows your students to access it at any time to complete worksheets, quizzes, and questions - that you can add straight from your Google Drive - and to communicate with the teacher and their peers. You can provide feedback in the comments section and even grade work using the app.

Kahoot! is a really fun way to quiz your students when assessing for and as learning. I used it as a consolidation activity after going over a review of the math strand that the students were going to be tested on a couple of days later. It was an excellent way for me to see where the students were with their understanding and to provide some guidance in areas where they were still struggling prior to the test. It also allowed the students to see how much they actually knew and understood before studying for the test.
I have also seen it used as a great formative assessment tool to see what the learners already know about a topic or range of topics in a strand. The format, and ability for students to use devices (something they all get very excited for), keeps the learners engaged and the competitive factor only adds to the fun for most.

Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia that covers pretty much any topic you can think of and more. It's an excellent tool for getting the gist of a topic while offering a number of legitimate sources for further investigation. It's also an excellent tool for teaching young learners critical digital media literacy, primarily how to evaluate sources of information. According to the ministry document Adolescent Alert: Make Room for Evaluating Sources of Information (2015), students need "strategies to discern whether or not the information they scoop out of the current [of information that they are exposed to] is credible, accurate, valid and useful."
As can be seen on their homepage (see image below), Wikipedia is offered in a variety of languages which can also be beneficial for ELL students as a starting point for their learning on a topic.
