- In my opinion when a student is excited and looking forward to go to school there grades improve. From personal experience when I enjoy the class I had no problem doing the work because not only did I look forward to the class it was fun.

- Behavior is a major concept for a productive but not the only concept. Sometimes I feel like teachers think that behavior is the most important part of a child's education but it's not. If the student feel like the teacher is not respecting them or does not feel comfortable around the teacher that will reflect in he/she behavior.

- Planning is a major necessity in teaching. You want to ensure that your lesson plan is organized and planned out. -Teachers should be willing to learn and be able to teach different learning styles because not all students learn the same. Teachers pushing students out of there comfort zone is very important they should learn to elevate and not stay in the same spot. When students get comfortable in there comfort zone they tend to not want to change.

-Many people feel like teaching gifted students is easy because they are smart and advanced. There are challenges that come with that job as well. - Teachers should never discriminate against a student because of there race, sexual orientation, and etc. All students should be treated with respect not matter what. Students should be able to feel like there school is a safe zone. They should feel comfortable enough to feel like they are free to be who they want to be.
"Always provide time to check for understanding and be sure to provide precise and immediate feedback." pg.63
- Feedback is major in a learning environment. The student should always know what they need to improve in and the things they are doing great in. Letting the student know that they are doing good can push them to work even harder in class. Providing time to check for understanding is important as well. You want to ensure that you as a teacher, are not moving to fast because it is very easy for a student to feel lost and once the student feels this way they are more likely to want to give up.

-When you get to know a student they are more likely to let they guard down and feel more comfortable around you.

-The following statement is so true, economic and social factors are major in classrooms. which is sad to say all students should be treated the same. A child's economic issues should not effect what's going on in the classroom.

-Praise and corrective feedback is major in classrooms. Students should be told when they are doing good because that pushes them to work even harder. Classrooms should be neutral to a certain extent a little praise won't hurt anybody in my opinion.

-This is so true and disappointing not all children have financial stability so learning may not be the first thing on their mind. -Many people believe that all students are treated equally and with respect. But sadly, this is far from the truth. Many students are judged because of there race, sexual identity, or where they come from and it's not fair. In school students should feel safe. Schools should be a judge free zone. Many kids go to school to get there minds off of what is going on at home they should feel like they are free to be who thet are in school. They should not have to worry about be judged or being treated unfairly.

-This not nothing new, although school try to act like everyone is treated equally it just ain't true. It's always going to be black or white, it cant ever be both. Which is sad and something we need to continue working on.

-This entire statement is ridiculous. Why is that African American and Latino students can never get they credit for doing the right thing. -There should be a balance in the classroom. We shouldn't only focus on testing because that stresses the student out and results in low grades. Even the thought of high- stakes test stresses some students out. When you balance out fun activities and test the student has something to look forward to.

-Although test help teachers evaluate where the student is, it may not always be effective. Not all students are good test takers. So just because the student scored a low grade on a test does not always mean they don't understand the content.

- It's sad but it is the truth, many people say that teachers should treat all the students the same but I disagree to an extent. Teachers should understand that not all students are the same and they do not come from the same background so they should not be treated as if they do. -I totally agree with the following statement because we need to start preparing students for the real world. we need to not only focus on learning school material but teaching them how to become responsible adults. Being honest, ethical, kind, and compassionate are all great traits a person should have.

-Open enrollment has there pros and cons. For pros it allows students to enroll in any school they want it does not have to be in their specific neighborhood. They do have cons as well. Some cons is that schools are becoming over populated and crowded. When schools become over populated it's hard for teachers to focus on each student because there are so many students in one class.
"Older teachers or teachers with graduate credits are not necessarily the most skilled" pg.268
-Older teachers are not always the most skilled they are mostly old fashion. They use old teaching skills which means they may not be able to reach students like they use to. - Student safety should be the main priority of the teacher. Students safety are very important and it is sometimes difficult for a teacher because there are so many factors that contributes to the child's safety.

- Students should not be discriminated because of there gender. Sexual harassment has been increasing in schools and that is something we need to change because it is not right at all.

-Social media has become a huge part of society. So using such a great essential in a classroom can be beneficial. More children are familiar with social media so it only makes since that they would contribute it into the classroom. Social media is more beneficial than you would expect it to be. It's more likely for the students to be more engaged because they are using something there are familiar with.

-Public schools are looked down upon way to often. Public schools has there cons but they also have there pros. Public schools should not be all about profit, people tend to think about all the funding more than they think about the child's education. Public education should be for everybody and should allow all students to a education.

-Classrooms should be safe place for all students. They should feel comfortable enough to discuss what's going on with them. The quote "It takes a village to  raise a child", goes for schools as well. When a parent/ guardian drops there child off at school they want to make sure that they are safe. When a child feel comfortable in school and with there teachers they are more likely to open up.
"While poor schools struggle, wealthier districts are developing creative strategies to ensure that their schools are not endangered by funding redistribution plans" pg.196
-Poor schools are struggling more and more everyday because of a lack of funding. This is leading to more students struggling in school and even failing. -Being a good teacher means learning from experience. Not all good teaching is by the books. Many old teachers are very old fashion and follow the books and don't like to change their ways. New teachers may be able to relate to the students more because they are a fresh pair of eyes and they know what the students like.
