]]> 2018-01-09 22:16:47 UTC https://padlet.com/cholliday20/xtxb9djnan0p/wish/219997836 cholliday20 https://padlet.com/cholliday20/xtxb9djnan0p/wish/219998001 I liked that the book was realistic and the plot was original.  All the characters in the story were necessary and they added depth to the story.  I think the characters were very interesting.  Every character was different and they all added something different to the book.  You have Ponyboy, the protagonist in the story and he wants to do what's right, but he knows he can’t in order to protect his gang the “greasers”. I think the setting of the church as the hideout was ironic because Ponyboy and Johnny are hiding out in a church because they killed someone.  The book The Outsiders, reminds me of a book We Beat The Street.  We Beat The Street is about boys who grew up in Newark, New Jersey.  Despite their difficult and eventful upbringing they were able to preserve and become successful doctors.
