Wrote the Olympiad on 23.01.2025

This book made me realise that medicine is a very complicated and demanding field of various uncertainties. I found out that even though medicine is considered a science, it lacks laws that other sciences possess. That is due to every individual being different, which often leads the doctors to rely on their instinct. In general, the book describes how people and certain situations shaped the author’s perception on medicine and resulted in the three laws that are described.

In a department of neurology in a hospital in Bełchatów.

Shadowing a doctor, witnessing the work and different examinations done on patients as well as deciding on a diagnosis.

I helped with the organisation of the whole event and supported my peers in the secretariat. This activity helped me master my organisational skills as a lot of people were dependent on me. I also developed my time management skills. Overall, the event was a success and i was pleased to be a part of it.

Lectures on cardiovascular and endocrine systems.

Practicals on how to detect diabetes from two different blood samples, what impacts heart rate, blood pressure and bloods oxygen saturation.

Presentation on musculoskeletal systems + essay on what is diabetes and how to detect it.
