The peace helped because we still do engineering today and we are developing more ways to do these things more efficiently.

1. The first prototype of the internet came in the 1960s and was known as ARPANET. The U.S Department of Defence intended for ARPANET to be a network on which multiple computers could communicate. In 1983 ARPANET began to use TCP/IP Protocols (fancy way of saying it allows two or more computers nowadays devices to communicate) making it very popular amongst researchers. It wasn't until 1990 that the internet became popular amongst the public due to the birth of the world wide web. Providing access to data in the form of websites and hyperlinks (just links that you can click on)
2. The creation of the internet or more so the www, has affected us greatly. We have access to unlimited amounts of information at our finger tips. We are able to connect and communicate to anyone from almost anywhere. We are able to upload and download content that people create and share. If we don't know the answer to something we can google it, if we want to learn about something, if we miss the six o'clock news or want to look further into whats happening around the world we use the internet.

1.The industrial revolution began in Great Britain in the late 1700s. It moved the production of goods from little shops and houses to big factories. It began in the textile industry when making cloth was moved from homes to factories. It brought many changes including people moving to a big city for a better job (many people lived on farms in rural areas) introduce new technologies including steam power and electricity, new types of transportation and just a whole different lifestyle for many
2.It shaped our modern world by making it more efficient with factories that mass produce items. We can now travel long distance is in cars, planes etc.. because of the engine that was invented/created during the industrial revolution. Working is much less physically hard than it used to be because of the available technology we invented/created during this time. Overall without it the quality of life would be much worse and working would be much harder if it never happened.
