1. We are on a 6 day specials rotation (new last year) which makes planning yucky esp. when there is no school.  I'd love ideas on how to simplify this in my mind.  One time they come is a lesson and the alternate time they come is checkout/reading.
2. Enthusiasm for reading is declining.  Our circulation was lower this year than covid year.  I have a plan but would love ideas on encouragement and accountability for students regarding reading for enjoyment.

1.  We will be changing to a new schedule that is alternated every other day.  This will change the day of library for classes each week.  Each class has a 50 minute time.  I would love ideas on how to help students and parents with this new schedule.
2.  Since we have a 50 minute time schedule for all 21 classes, I love to get new ideas on how to connect literature with lessons and STEAM activities and how others organize these projects.
3.  We have been using PebbleGo  for several years.  This  year we added Create.

I'm full time with a half-time assistant. I used to see every ELA class every 2-3 weeks on a scheduled rotation, but due to staff/budget cuts I will be teaching 2 elective classes (not library-related) and am struggling with how to provide equitable instruction and access to the ELA classes I won't be able to see during the hours I'm teaching. 

Would love to try a truly flexible schedule, but need some fresh ideas on how to draw in teachers.

Advocacy is top of my takeaway list - our library services were almost eliminated last year.

Chapman has approximately 1100 students in the largest (by land mass) district in the state. There are four elementary schools, one middle and one high school. I have a full-time assistant who manages three outlying and rural schools using a school bus. I have another full-time assistant who manages the elementary in town and a full-time assistant who splits time with me at the middle and high school buildings. 

I am interested in learning how I can increase student reading at the middle and high school levels. Last year, our district decided to do away with AR and go with whole school book clubs. This caused my circulation at all levels to drastically decrease.
