In return she is granted the recognition on her person and identity as an influencer, through the love of her close friends and fans as positive feedback in her comments.
According to Alex Honneth’s studies this: “provides self-confidence as it is related to our emotions as they are being met by others…”. And this is part of the dynamics that Instagram provides to its content creators: the opportunity to share snippets of one’s personal lives and the platform to create interaction with others, thus creating a positive and diverse community (Instagram, n.d.). This is why, this platform in the optimal conditions (positive interactions and respecting the guidelines of the company) is widely popular for users to share their personal lifestyles as a medium of self-expression: “For it is only due to the cumulative acquisition of basic self-confidence, of self-respect, and of self-esteem… that a person can come to see himself or herself, unconditionally, as both an autonomous and an individuated being and to identify with his or her goals and desires”. (Honneth, 1995)

Also, Golloria's work done via Tik Tok is very important for the person's self-esteem, since "a person's understanding of who they are, of their fundamental characteristics as a human being" (Taylor, 1994). In addition, taking into account Taylor's Politics of Recognition, Golloria looks for equal dignity, rights and entitlements for black people, as well as common citizenship with the rest of the society. However, she also seeks for their social recognition as part of their uniqueness. "Dominant groups tend to entrench their hegemony by inculcating an image of inferiority in the subjugated" (Taylor, 1994); that is what Golloria want to erradicate, and instead of, she promotes and aims to live in an equal society.
