         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this activity, we were tasked to cite inventions/activities with the most significant (good/bad) impact and encountered notable challenges. This activity made us realize that science and technology really plays a big role in Philippine society. We consider that the majority of today's technology can be traced back to the Commonwealth's independence; economic development, research, and discovery of needs; information and creative environment.(Got this from ppt) We were asked if, given the chance to revisit the period of history that had been allocated to us, we would make any changes. Group 4 would go back to 1942 to prevent the Japanese from occupying the Philippines if we had the chance to change the course of history in the Philippines' relationship with science and technology. Stopping the Japanese would prevent disruption of the nation's scientific and technical development.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

This technology is used in everyday activities such as online education, and payments. Moreover, indigenous people are mostly the foundation of things that we have in the modern day. Their knowledge has become the root of development in modern science and technology. As aspiring educators of the country, we must support the programs and policies of the government that promotes the betterment of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Philippines. Moreover, we must aid our students pursuing science-related courses e.g., engineering, science, medicine through all ways possible.</div><div>This reflects us that there is an improvement and development in science and technology that we have today and gives a significant role in everyday life.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

C) is way below from the Earth’s normal temp</li><li>1750’s temperature is near Earth’s normal temperature&nbsp;</li><li>From 1750 to 1950, Earth’s temperature increased by 0.3 degree celsius</li><li>From 1950—industrialization era—to 2020, there is a significant increase in Earth’s temperature i.e. 1.1 degree. Hence, there is a significant increase of greenhouse gas concentration on Earth since the start of industrialization</li></ul><div><br></div><div>With respect to group four’s reflection for this week’s lesson, we must acknowledge the extremity of climate change globally and its persisting adverse effects e.g., global warming, loss of biodiversity, rising sea levels, health risks, drought, severe storms and displacement. Therefore, we must take part in lessening our personal carbon footprint to contribute in the fight against climate change. Moreover, we must also hold the conglomerates and the government accountable for the environmental policies that must take effect and be adhered to.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Click and Clone!</div><div><br></div><div>We—the group four—would like to acknowledge the effectiveness of the “Click and Clone!” simulation activity to learn and appreciate genetics, specifically the Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer.</div><div><br></div><div>Website: <a href="https://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/cloning/clickandclone">https://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/cloning/clickandclone</a></div><div><br></div><div>The following are the group 4’s three key takeaways from the Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer simulation:</div><ol><li>In cloning, three participants are suggested: (a) the participant that will be cloned; (b) egg cell donor; and (c) surrogate Mother.</li><li>The primary paraphernalia are: (a) microscope for magnification; (b) petri dishes for containment (c) sharp pipette for transfer; (d) blunt pipette for holding); and&nbsp; (e) specific chemical for cell division stimulation.</li><li>The DNA of the somatic cells will be the one that will be inherited by the offspring.</li></ol><div><br></div><div>As to group four’s reflection for this week’s topic, biotechnology definitely aids various sectors of the society e.g., medicine, agriculture, waste management and energy production.
