1) What aspects of the resources did you find helpful in planning your learning center? (100+ words):

I am thankful to reread this section in the book as it reminds my that there is a lot of information in here and just to spend time looking for it. I really like the idea of letting kids choose the center that is most interesting to them as I thing that adds to the fun side of learning. Also, I liked the idea of keeping centers simple. I am encouraged by centers and reminded that I need to let go of students and let them take some interest and responsibility in what they find and learn for themselves. (Winebrenner, 2018) I really like the youtube tutorial for setting up centers. I have been trying all year and find centers stressful to set up due to the huge volume of students in my class. The great thing about GATE kids is you can set up really great research and interested directed ways to learn with centers. I especially like the idea of hitting one topic or standard in several different centers to help kids understand the material in many ways. (Teachings in Education, 2018)
