Nursery 2026 Come and Play session

An opportunity for your child to come and play in their Nursery setting. Please drop your child off at the Nursery entrance and collect at 2:30pm. If your child is already in school for their Rising 3 session, our staff will bring them over to the classroom.

Getting to know your child in our EYFS.

Meeting your child means recognising every child as a unique individual. By understanding their interests, needs and development, our staff can build strong relationships, helping children feel safe, valued and confident. This allows learning to be tailored to each child, supporting their progress, wellbeing and love of learning while ensuring all children feel included and respected. Over the next few weeks, we will be inviting you to key events. Please look out for our Nursery and Reception sessions.

Reception 2026 Come and Play Sessions

An opportunity for your child to come and play in their Reception setting during our transition day across school. Please drop your child off at the Reception entrance and collect at 11:30am. If your child is already in our school Nursery for their session, our staff will bring them over to the classroom and support their transition.

A Teddy Bears Picnic will take place for our Reception children from 3:30pm on Wednesday 8th July. We would love for you to bring your child to the session as this an opportunity to meet the other parents and meet the EYFS team.

Transition Days in September 2026

Moving into Reception or Nursery represents a significant change to our youngest children and despite some of the children already being onsite, we have to remember that the children will have:

a new classroom environment
a new class teacher and staff team
different routines, expectations, and learning structures
the impact of returning after a six-week summer break

Even for children who have attended Nursery full-time prior, these changes can feel substantial. The initial shorter days allow staff to prioritise building relationships, re-establishing routines, and supporting children to feel emotionally secure in their new class.

Transition for Reception
