Make a plan of what you will write and find all references you will use to make the process of actually writing the assessment easier. Ensuring you ask questions about the task if you are unsure. Read any readings as they are there to help you and maybe build a base understanding and you can build on that using peer reviewed literature.

You could see placement experiences as a really good opportunity to develop as a teacher. Embrace the chance to work with professional educstors, be open to feedback and proactive in asking questions. You could keep a diary/journal throughout your placement, so you can look back as you progress through your teaching journey and reflect on what chnages yiu'd like to make.

i would ask my teacher about any questions that i have, then i would make a draft and ask for feedback on how to improve and then implement those. i’d also make sure i read through everything properly and find correct references

DEMONSTRATE COMMITMENT TO LEARNING

Referring to what what learnt today about communication skills, I belive that us as pre service teachers can start to regularly practise effective communication skills by incorporating it into our every day lives.

This can be done by active listening to peers within class (reading groups) and regular participation in class, simply by reading out a sentance or two. This can build up the confidence prior to placement as engaging with peers and mentors is extremely important.

Another strategy can be excess note takings, writing down communication skills and saving them in a document to refer to for placement ❤️

I would like to have the chance to take the class for a lesson pretty early on during placements and take notes on student engagement, so I can then compare to later on and see progress. Then get feedback from the teacher and implement it. This would help to build my confidence and work towards taking the class for longer periods. I would like to demonstrate my commitment to the role by being involved and gaining knowledge from those higher up to improve.

I would first give the teacher positive reinforcement and let them know what i believe was really good out of there teaching style. If I had to give feedback, I would do that based on how well the teacher interacted with students, how they impacted students learning, how well they taught the content and how good resources they provided were. For better understanding i would provide example and also constructive feedback on how they could make their unit better for future students.
