This myth follows&nbsp; Hermes as an infant sneaking out of his crib and going to Piera to steal Apollo, his half brothers' cattle. This caused Apollo to become and go tell Zeus, however Zeus found it amusing and did not care. Apollo remained angry, but to appease him Hermes gives Apollo an instrument and in return Apollo gives Hermes a golden staff to guide the herds. <br><br></div>]]></description>

While they were doing this, Hermes hit Crocus on the head and fatally wounded him. Three drops of Crocus's blood spilled to the Earth and in its place a small flower with shiny stamens grew. The flower was named Crocus to honor this Greek hero.</div>]]></description>
