• Interest in the game of lacrosse began to develop in Canada. lacrosse was becoming more popular in various countries and in 1904 and 1908 it was played in the Summer Olympics. 
The rules are very simple, the ball must not be touched by a player's hand and there are no limits. The ball is tossed into the air to signal the start of the game, and players race to be the first to catch it.
