Learning to listen to your inner voice and to discern information from credible vs. non-credible sources, even when the source may be  in a position of authority over you,  will keep you from living a "Fake life".  Being true to yourself, doing what is right for you, being the "Captain of your own ship" will bring more personal growth and satisfaction than just going along to get along.

They can tell immediately.
