² The reign of Nero began well. Nero lowered taxes at one point as well as allowed slaves to sue their owners who caused them harm but he soon took back what he had said and increased taxes (PBS, p.3, Website). ³ It was also found that Nero had stolen from many local temples (Biography.com Editors, p.13, Website).

Nero did not care who stood in his way, he was destined to bring havoc to Rome. ¹ Nero was even accused of killing his own brother out of fear that he would outshine him (PBS, p.2, Website).

Nero was able to keep a clean slate as it related to most foreign policies which was beneficial to the wolds status (Allen, p.3, Website). It seemed as though every seemingly good deed carried out by Nero was always ending in backlash including the failure to get to Isthmus (Hays, p.45, Website).

Nero was able to increase the supply of money and debase the currency to have only 0.02% of silver which was very good for the economy. The debasement of the currency caused for many problems to arise such as, border wars and slave rebellions (Forbes, Economy and Empire, p.5, Website).

Reasons for Grade:
Nero was able to decrease the amount of effort and silver that is put into currency which in turn save Rome a lot of time and money (Forbes, Economy and Empire, p.6, Website). The idea quickly backlashed when the Rome was overturned by many problems caused by the currency change such as inflation (Forbes, Economy and Empire, p.5, Website).
