         <description><![CDATA[<div>Louis Zamperini was an Olympic runner and WW2 veteran. He ran in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, where he took a picture with Hitler and stole a Nazi flag that he kept for his entire life. He was a bombardier in US bomber planes in the war, serving in a B-24 liberator. He was captured by the Japanese in the pacific. He was tortured by the Japanese in concentration camps as a POW, but made it through.</div>]]></description>

He hated the bird, and he was one of the top 40 most wanted war criminals in Japan. Louis went to three different camps, and was horrendously torn apart at each one.          <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose this topic because I really like the book and movie and just think his story is incredible. I already knew alot about his story going in, and I just relearned everything since I havent read the book since 7th grade. My thoughts did not change, I just use him as a huge motivation to stay strong through any hardships. I really enjoyed rereading the book and relearning the information. </div>]]></description>
