She experienced things such as the Berlin wall. When she was 18 years old she decided to move to the states to live with her aunt and her aunt's husband.
Claudia explained that Germany was much like the U.S because they had a "melting pot of immagrants." She also described that the lands in Germany were the same as Oregon and Washington state, rich and fertial. She explained that one of the most cultural diffrences was having a vehicle, her grandparents never had a car in their life because in Germany you got around by bikes and trains. The main challenges for Claudia were the language barrier and racism. Her favorite things about the states are the beaches, collage, and KFC. This project is a valuable learning experience for many different reasons: we had to learn how to interview, we had to learn how to make a padlet, we learned about an other country, and we learned some people skills.
