Tan Sri Devaki Ayathurai Krishnan inspires me a lot. She is the first Malaysian woman to win the local elections for the Bangsar constituency in 1952, the first Indian woman to compete in the general elections in 1959, and the first non-Malay woman to be awarded the Tan Sri titleship in 1995. She has tirelessly championed for women to be involved in politics, and her impactful contribution has not gone unnoticed as evident from the awards that have been presented to her, including the Tokoh Wanita Award by NCWO and the Tan Sri Fatimah Award by AVON, just to name a few. She is also known for her compassion when she served on the medical team during the May 1969 racial riots. She took great care of the victims and the homeless, and ensured their safety before signing off duty herself. Her notable list of achievements has shaped Malaysian history and paved the way for other inspiring Malaysian women in politics today.

That was how Mr. Chakravathy inspires me in the way he was able to handle people so well. I think most of my character building started from him. He stood out for being very fair. And with that, he was able to gain respect from others. She is the captain of the University of Malaya (UM) Clovers and she always encourage us to go for leadership roles and be involved in activities that can develop ourselves into a leader. Dorothy Kisaka a mother of three boys and one girl is the Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority in Uganda.

She represents Africa on the Board of Haggai Institute International in Hawaii USA and Thailand, an organization whose vision is to see every nation redeemed and transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dorothy has served the Nation as the Administrator and Secretary of the National Response Fund against COVID -19 in the office of the Prime Minister and worked as a Senior Presidential Advisor at the same office, tasked with coordinating political and non-political actors to implement Public Policy. She has as well been the Deputy Head at the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit tasked with fast-tracking service delivery on government priorities.

Formerly, she served as a Commissioner at the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM Electoral Commission supervising Inter-Party Elections.

She is a Legal Counsel to Governance boards and has experience in organizational strategic leadership. Dorothy mentors leaders world over as a visiting international facilitator. She is one of the pioneers of a Leadership School under Destiny Consult which trains highly placed marketplace leaders to serve with excellence and integrity. She has rendered service as Board Chairman for Development Associates International-DAI, an organization that focuses on developing leaders’ effectiveness and fostering their spiritual growth, with servant leadership as the core principle. She is a strong advocate for the placement of abandoned children in families.

I cannot remember my exact first meeting with this lady named Miss Fong Woon Yoke, but she is undoubtedly one of my closest friends deep in my heart for the past 20 years.

I started my guiding journey since my posting to a secondary school. Miss Fong is the one who gives me chances to learn, to practice, and to take tests along these years. She is willing to share her experience and knowledge to all of us. Her mind is full of ideas that can be practiced here and there. She is patient in completing all her tasks, and humble in always open to learning new things. While she can be strict sometimes, she does it for the good of us who are on the learning journey.

She knows I lack the guiding knowledge and experience, so when she delivers speeches to the girl guides, I know some of the words are directed to me too. After these years, I am still with her on the same path to guide our younger girls voluntarily.

Tuanku is one of the most respectful women in Malaysia..
She married at the Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, Johor Bahru, 6 March 1986 to the fourth child of Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang with his first wife, Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Al-Sultan Abdullah. She has been created Tengku Puan in addition to her Johor title of Paduka Puteri in 1986. She is one of the sisters of the current Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail. They have four sons and two daughters together.

I really admire women like Hidilyn Diaz because they inspire and lead girls like us to break the barriers imposed on us. In this world of men, women can still dominate. She does not let her gender define what she can do. Diaz's claim on the gold in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics was like an eye-opener to those still unsure of their capabilities and strength as women.

This weightlifter taught me to do everything with vigor to reach my dreams and potential. Additionally, she also motivates me to be a model to my fellow students.

The woman besides me is my mother. She is the supportive mother of mine. She is kind, intelligent, beautiful, and supportive parent. She is my first best friend. Sometimes we fight a lot because of misunderstanding and patience.

She's sometimes may be overprotective towards me and my sister. Sometimes it makes us irritate and uncomfortable. We all experience that and we all know that they are only doing it because they're priorities is our safety and health. She teaches me and my sister some many things about Gsp.

She also help us in our studies. Not only she teaches me and my sister, she also teaches many young people that is much younger than me. She teaches them some new learnings to learn and activities to have fun of.

That's why I want to be a Teacher one day because she inspired me everyday, of all her hardworks and bravery to face challenges. My mom became my role model in life. She help me become who I am today. I want her to be proud of what, she made. And I want to let her know that all her hardwork are worth it.

My Mother

I can't choose just one thing I admire the most about my mom because I admire all of her. Her strength, her discipline, how incredibly smart she is, how beautiful inside and out she is, how she's managed to work extremely hard in a field dominated by men, earn their respect, and reach a position of power. How she has always been a mom to me, but learned to also be a friend I can rely on and someone I can trust and call whenever I need a pep talk, advice, or just reassuring words that everything will be all right. I admire how she excels in everything she does: she's the best mom, an excellent wife, successful in her job, active with her social life, and manages to give back to her community. I seriously don't know how she does it all, and I hope one day I can become at least half the woman she is person I admire the most is my mom. Through tough times and good times, my mom has always been my rock. She keeps me stable and under control. She is also there for me whenever I need her no matter what. Not only is she my rock, but every day she will go to work and do her best that way we can have everything we need. She understands that there are days that are going to be tougher than others and that you should just keep pushing forward.

Tough woman, this I think would be the best adjective to describe a sister like her. She's a daughter, a mother, a wife, a sister, a bank area manager but she can perform her duties very well all at the same time. Despite all the trials that she'd been through, she remained steadfast. Never did she make the people around her feel that she's not there for them...for us...She is always there to support and uplift others when they feel down. We are so grateful and blessed to have someone like her in the family. She is our Lola Mica. She hosted events during clan reunions and Christmas parties as she was very energetic and her smile was very contagious. Many people call her "The life of the party." She was also active in one of our local churches as she served as one of the leaders there. She had children, too, and they are adults now. She is, I guess, my mom and some of her siblings' favorite aunt. And that's how I know her, making me admire her a lot.

I hope she knows that she is one in a million though. And that I want to become a faithful follower of her Leader, too. But now that they are already together, I know we have a legacy to continue.

My mama, the most beautiful person in my life, is the woman that inspires me the most. She has been unconditionally supporting me in whatever I do in life. We do everything together and I admire her little acts of kindness, like paying for a stranger's transportation fare to leaving a tip for restaurant employees, which I look up to as an example. She may not have organizations she's affiliated with or she may not have ran for politics, but she is a leader, in a way, for seeing to it that we are safe and well protected throughout our life. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be here. She is my best friend, my anchor, my rock, number one confidant and fan. All the while fighting her way through her own obstacles to ensure that I was provided for. She is relentlessly compassionate and kind, with a heart of pure gold. Always doing her best to set the perfect example for her girls. We have always been and still her number one and leading priority. No one messes with her girls. Because of her I know that life can be tough, but I am tougher. She taught me to be strong and self-sufficient. I also know that it’s okay to cry, and when I need to cry her shoulder is the one I’m seeking. She is the definition of how to love others beyond flaws. Words cannot express the magnitude of just that one single lesson. She gave me guidance to see the good in people, and if don’t find it, look harder. She taught me what true beauty is. It took me so long to realize what a remarkable woman she is. The unprecedented amount of time and energy she have given is beyond belief. I know there have been periods of time when I’ve made her feel unappreciated, but that was never my intent. My words and actions at times were unlovable, but somehow she managed to love me anyway. I thought I knew it all, but in reality, had no idea that she is the one with my best interests in mind. I am very proud and inspired by her passion for advocacy. Starting out she is very quiet and never wants to go forward in any event at school. Covid happens and she cant go to school and started joining lots of girl guiding activities and also WAGGGS program online. She started to open up and show interest in helping people and creating awareness around gender equality. Some people saw her potential and she became speakers for many international events such as GEF Mexico and France and then more speaking opportunities from UN Women etc. She leads a lot of programs locally and internationally, being a moderator and facilitator to girls older than her with success. I am just so proud and inspired by her growth as a leader and a person. Way to go Mia!

“Changing this concerns us all. If we accept the reality and intensity of our pain, hope is real and change is possible."~ Madam Gladys Boss Shollei. She is the Deputy Speaker at our National Assembly and thus also being a role model for young girls in my country, Kenya.

My journey in Scouting has been shaped and inspired by the dedication, passion, and guidance of my teachers. They were more than just instructors—they were role models who lived the values of Scouting every day. Through their actions, they taught me leadership, service, discipline, and the spirit of teamwork.

They believed in my potential, encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, and always reminded me to do my best. Their unwavering support and example continue to inspire me to be a better Scout, a better leader, and above all, a better person.

I am grateful to them not only for what they taught, but for who they are.
