The kids are engaged in the lessons. The materials are organized and easy to use. Kids are doing well with the books. The slide shows coordinate well with the lessons, so they flow smoothly.

We haven't assessed anything from the unit yet. Mary Kay mentioned the idea of creating a poetry book for students to compose their poems in. I like this idea to give students more room for composition as well as organizing a collection of their poems from the unit. Perhaps we could even formulate brief rubrics to assess different aspects of poems we are working on.

Answering questions completely

We have really worked on using parts of the question and evidence from the text to write complete answers when responding to questions in the book. This is easy to scaffold in their workbook.

Students are very engaged. Like how concepts are repeated over and over, but in different ways. Fun activities and not doing the same thing every day. Lessons create good discussions. Like the pages in the student activity books.

KES 3rd Grade - Because there is more space to work in for the students, we have also started having the students write answers in complete sentences.

Students are engaged. They are building both literary and core vocabulary. The way the lessons are organized allows for a nice flow to the lessons with breaks included.

I know the book includes a few little comments in the teacher guide, but there is not a lot. Are there any materials in Spanish or other languages? If not, are there any plans to add texts/activities in other languages?
