Okay, but where in Southern California is it really located?

The Great Wall of Los Angeles is located north of Pasadena near Burbank, which if you know anything about living in Southern California, Burbank and Pasadena are quite the drive from Anaheim and Long Beach. For me, it is relevant because I was born and raised in Norwalk which is about a 10 to 15-minute drive from Long Beach on a good day. The Great Wall of Los Angeles is distant from a handful of popular spots and cities within Southern California.

Stretching half a mile along the Tujunga Wash, this monumental mural chronicles California's history from prehistoric times to the 1950s, with a particular focus on the contributions of African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and women. It serves as a visual narrative, highlighting pivotal moments such as the civil rights movement, labor strikes, and environmental activism, which have shaped the city's identity. Beyond its artistic value, the Great Wall serves as a symbol of resilience, unity, and social justice, fostering a sense of pride and cultural understanding among Angelenos. Its portrayal of overlooked narratives challenges visitors to confront the complexities of history and inspires conversations about inclusivity and equality, making it a cherished cultural landmark and educational resource for generations to come.

I would not say that this tweet is particularly relevant to the history of the Great Wall of Los Angeles. The wall does sit on what is considered part of the Los Angeles river. The river itself is unclean and pretty gross. Picking the drone out would have been disgusting if it had landed in water.
