         <description><![CDATA[<div>During this time, Germany was divided between the U.S., Soviet Union, and British. The Soviet Union built a wall around West Germany, preventing supplies from being brought into that space. Aircrews brought supplies to the people of West Germany in the Berlin Airlift. During the night, some people came and put up the wall, dividing each side even more.          <title>The Cuban Missile Crisis - 1959, October 14, 16, 22, 24, 28, 1962</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) When Cuba became communist, Fidel Castro became the leader.<br>2) On October 14, a Soviet SS-4 missile was seen being assembled. <br>3) On October 16, the Bay of Pigs invasion failed.<br>4) On October 22, The U.S. blocked an island so that the Soviets couldn't get through to get more missiles. This was called The Naval Blockade.<br>5) When the Soviet ships reached it on October 24, they stopped short.<br>6) The October 28th deal stated that the Americans wouldn't invade Cuba if the Soviets would dismantle their missiles.          <title>The Vietnam War - 1962, 1964, 1965, 1968, 1972, 197</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) The U.S. became involved because we sided with South Vietnam, and we didn't want them to become communist.<br>2) At the Gulf of Tonkin incident, DVR torpedoes attacked 2 U.S. boats, and afterwards the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution happened. <br>3) Operation Rolling Thunder was when U.S. planes began regular bombing raids.<br>4) The Tet Offensive was a series of fierce attacks in South Vietnam.<br>5) The last U.S. troops were to leave in 1972.<br>6) In 1975, South Vietnam fell to North Vietnam. <br><br><br>Image Sources: <br>Boat: "Gulf Of Tonkin Incident." <em>En.wikipedia.org</em>.
