The mood was very nostalgic as he recalled certain things about his grandmother that other wise would not have been special. His word choice was very particular in describing certain aspects that made him remember his grandmother. For example when Alec said "The olive-green plastic salt and pepper shakers sat next to their matching napkin holder." and when he also said "Next to the table was Grandma’s beloved microwave oven. She cooked nearly EVERYTHING in the microwave; nothing was off-limits. By and large, her concoctions tasted sublime." Paulo's 2 minute index has a motivational & meaningful tone. He's talking about how all the hard work you do always pays off even  when you can't do it anymore. In the text he says " We all, at some point, grow old and acquire other qualities, and these can always be turned to good advantage." This makes the reader feel a sense of pride and work ethic and want to be like the pitcher of water.

In August Hagemann's two minute story, he used the words 'brave', 'powerful' and 'trapped'. The tone of his story was serious, but he put it in a way to make it funny. The mood is humorous. The tone set in the quote is a serious and some what dismal one. She talks in the interview about wanting to see he late parents again. And she goes on to say that she would not be surprised if they looked different. She uses words such as fixate, scent of their clothes, caress, and embrace to bring out a sad or dismal tone. Mary's two minute stories tone was delighted. She thought she was talking to someone she had known but in the end finding out it was a complete stranger she just had a nice conversation with. At the end of her story she says "I saw how my life could have been different. I saw how easy it can be". The mood was hopeful and joyful that a stranger she knows nothing about can be so kind and just being a decent person.

The following analysis of Two minuties about my toothbrush by Aziz Ansari talks the humor of finding a tooth brush, and the tone was  humorous .He chose a fun topic about the adventure he took on finding a toothbrush, he used words like "Smiley", "delightfully", " A game changing tooth brush".  The mood was a cheerful mood because you left thinking that was a fun take on a short story. and through out the whole thing he used words like "home, amazon, computer" so you could get a mental picture he was just sitting at home on his computer.
