Mandy’s struggle reminded me of times when I had to choose between doing what’s right and putting myself first. It shows her human side and makes her more relatable because we’ve all faced moments like that.

We guess its because he was worried he will run out of time and accepted Mandy's suggestion quickly. He took the easy way out!!

Character Chosen: Mandy

"Er...er...I mean adcovate. I mean acvocate. Advocate!" she said, finally getting it right.

Feeling conveyed: Anxious, embarrassed, humiliated.

Effect on reader (Purple): It made Mandy feel more relatable while reading as feeling anxious during public speaking is a very common thing for students to feel in front of a crowd, whether large or small, and that feeling might make people trip on their words. It makes the reader understand how anxious Mandy is in this moment, and it makes us connect with Mandy and how she is feeling. It reminds me of how I felt when I was presenting in front of the classroom during a presentation. I was stumbling over my words, and I completely forgot what I was supposed to say. I was filled with embarrassment, and my face turned red.
