Our main idea to address this problem was to create a sprinkler system that saves hundreds of gallons every use and waters the lawn more effectively to compensate for the cut down on water.

Diverting the water from the Tigris/Eurphrates river may have worked then, but over time the rivers would began to recede from using too much water from the rivers to irrigate the fields, much like overwatering your lawn in the present day.

When a lawn system in turned on, there is on an average of 600 gallons fresh water being pumped through the system distributed to the grass.

This sprinkler head not only conserves water, but waters your lawn more evenly. Using the energy gathered from the solar panel on the top of the sprinkler, a motor propels the nozzle upwards to measure the height of the grass for even distribution of water. The nozzle will let out a mist instead of a water stream.

Unlike all lawn system this system can calculate the amount of gallons that will be used by the simple task of entering the sq. footage of the lawn. This lawn also has a timer that is similar to current lawn systems today.

Back in Early civilizations there was little concern for the conservation of water because many of the civilizations were located near a river or a body of water. In the DFW area there are not many water sources to pull from causing water restrictions to be more common in smaller towns.
