I am familiar with the people working there; they are very friendly and supportive. I prefer working with the people I know rather than working at a new place. An industrial visit to RAK ceramics which is a public shareholding company with H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi was organized on 8^th March, 2018. Everything about RAK ceramics and the manufacturing of tiles was explained by Mr. Abhishek, who is the marketing manager. To build a world normal for quality and beauty, the corporate primarily starts producing their products. They begin their 1^st production in June 1991. RAK Ceramics is one of the biggest ceramics production brand on the planet. It is specialized in ceramic and gres porcelain wall, floor tiles, tableware, sanitary ware and faucets. They are producing 110 million square meters of tiles, five million sanitary ware pieces, twenty four million porcelain tableware pieces and one million faucets per year at their twenty production plants that are present in United Arab Emirates, India, Bangladesh, China and Iran. Rak ceramics is also a listed company on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in the United Arab Emirates and the Dhaka Stock Exchange in Bangladesh and the company has a yearly turnover of around 1billion U.S dollars.

RAK Ceramics declared its outcomes for the second quarter finished June 30, 2017, demonstrating a net benefit of Dh113.2 million that speaks to a solid year on year increment of 73 percent contrasted with a similar period a year ago and a quarter-on-quarter rise of 76 percent. Red body and white body ceramic tiles are made with finest quality clays and with chamotte (raw material with high percentage of silica). These raw materials are submitted to dry grinding and suitably mixed and wet and then pressed with hydraulic presses. Quick-cycle support firing is obtained via roller kilns reaching temperatures of approximately 1100 °C. After biscuit glazing, the vitrified product is sintered in a single-layer roller kiln at approximately 1030 °C. This class of products shows virtually no shrinkage during firing; therefore such dimensional consistency results in extremely easy laying.                                                                                                       (RAK, 2018)

Ceramic Red and White body tiles can be laid using either tile adhesives or cement mortar. Under no circumstances should the tiles be wet before they are laid on the floor. When laying large sized tiles it is best to adopt the two layer spreading method and.

Porcelain tiles are manufactured using pure, selectively imported raw materials mixed using the most advanced extraction and sorting techniques; they are obtained with a production process similar to that of single-fired tiles. The resulting product is top-quality porcelain tile, obtained by raw materials wet grinding, followed by partial drying by spraying, silo storage to allow homogenization of properties, and pressing with highly efficient hydraulic presses up to specific pressures more than 500 kg/cm2. The high pressure combined with high firing temperature exceeding 1200 °C results in highly compact & strong ceramic surface with very low water absorption.               (RAK, 2018)

Porcelain tiles can be installed using traditional cement mortars, they advise using modern adhesives. While installing on wall, the two-layer spreading system is recommended to perfectly wet the back of the tile. Quickly dipping each tile in water before installation will remove any dust on the back of the tile for perfect adhesion.

Do not wet the tiles if you are using vinyl, acrylic resin adhesives or two- component organic-solvent based adhesive.                                                                      (RAK, 2018)

Industry visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the technical world. Industrial visit also gave us greater clarity about various technical concepts as they can practically see how these concepts are put into action.

 It provided us an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Visiting a company gave us a practical perspective on the world of work.                                                                                                   (Anon, 2018)

We conclude that, while going through the entire industrial visit, the co-operation is found to be very well organized developed and most ideal industry in every walk of its production, administration and management aspects.

With a visit to industrial site we got a new experience of the industry. We can understand and compare the knowledge acquired in college to the working world industry. It is very important for us because we can directly see to the industrial world.
