I am having difficulties with data protection. Lately, even the ESEP platform has requested that preschoolers not see each other's faces, even if we have parental consent. I don't see why, because it is a secure platform that only transmits data to its members.

Even in early education, children can begin to understand simple rules such as asking permission before sharing photos and being kind in online communication. Safe habits should start early and be reinforced consistently.

What challenges do they face during collaboration, and how are these addressed?

How do you ensure that online interaction remains safe and responsible throughout the project?

For example:

• Are the terms of use and privacy policies clear and compliant with regulations (e.g., GDPR)?

• How will the data be used, and for how long will it be retained?

By asking these questions, we ensure that online learning environments remain safe, ethical, and respectful for all students.

For example, when designing a lesson plan that includes multiple digital activities, I apply computational thinking principles:

• I first separate each activity (decomposition),

• then identify similarities between tasks (pattern recognition),

• focus strictly on the learning objectives (abstraction),

• and finally create a clear and structured sequence of steps for students (algorithm design).

 Internet safety is very important in kindergarten projects using the eTwinning platform. Even though preschoolers are at a young age, online activities carried out in collaboration with other kindergartens in Europe require a safe and carefully monitored digital environment.

In kindergarten projects, children do not use the platform directly, but participate under the constant guidance of teachers. Teachers create accounts, manage materials and ensure that images or information published comply with the rules on personal data protection, with the consent of parents. No sensitive data is made public, and communication takes place in a secure space, intended exclusively for project members.

Through these activities, children are familiarized, in a way adapted to their age, with simple rules of online behavior: to ask for help from an adult, not to give out personal information and to use technology responsibly. Thus, eTwinning projects carried out in kindergarten contribute both to the development of early digital skills and to the formation of healthy habits regarding online safety.

We explained to the children what personal data means and why they should not give it to strangers online. We discussed secure passwords, the importance of asking for help from an adult when encountering inappropriate content and the difference between real and virtual friends. We also emphasized respectful behavior online, thus preventing cyberbullying.

Through practical activities and examples inspired by campaigns such as Safer Internet Day, the children learned simple but essential rules for surfing safely. The goal was to develop their digital responsibility from an early age and help them become aware and protected users of the internet.

Project summary:
This eTwinning project aims to develop students’ digital citizenship skills by promoting safe online behavior, responsible communication, and critical thinking in virtual collaboration. Students will explore real-life scenarios related to eSafety, cyberbullying, digital footprint, privacy, and online empathy.

Our eTwinning project ,,Let`s have fun with Mhats 2,, it`s a project to reinforce mathematical concepts, using web 2.0 tools.

In my teaching, I use GeoGebra and Geobord geacause are wonderful software for understanding and visual assimilation.

Frecquent useof web.2.0 tools during mathematics classes supports active learning, easy familiarization with abstract, arid concepts and even the development of logical creativity.
