I researched names of popular movie entertainment YouTubers and top of the list came Screen Rant. I found that the motion graphics of their idents often vary immensely from one video to the next. However, the constant among all is the colour palette used, consisting of silvers, greys and golds; representing sophistication, class and professionalism. This could also suggest that this channel is aimed towards an audience of 30 and above.

This popular movie review channel has a slightly basic looking but interesting motion graphics ident. The colour palette consists of white, red, silver and black - perhaps suggesting a slightly younger movie-consumer audience is being targeted. The object in the middle which looks like a satellite dish, is an interesting object related to media and entertainment which adds a nice touch to the overall graphic - an idea I might replicate in my final product.

His ident appears a few seconds after he has introduced the video unlike other channels I've discovered. He uses a colour palette of blue, gold and black/grey - very in your face and eye catching because of the background beam behind the text. His slogan is 'It's Awesometacular' - a play on words that perhaps suggests his channel is aimed at a younger audience.

The font itself is quite sci-fi looking - the gunmetal colours mixed with dark red give me this vibe - also it looks slightly like the 'Spiderman' font. In my ident, I will consider what type of movie/entertainment fan I am targeting my channel at and design accordingly.

Screen Junkies is one of the biggest move/entertainment channels out there boasting over 6 million subscribers. The ident used on its 'Honest Trailers' segment uses film iconography such as the green screen you see at the start of trailers, which rolls out like an old school film roll to transition back into the video.

This popular movie magazine target towards film fanatics often uses a bright-red title - which is eye-catching to the consumer. Also, I like the way Empire often overlays the main protagonist/antagonist from the film it is featuring over the main title. I will consider using this idea in my ident, however, I will most likely overlay a piece of film equipment such as a camera over my title to add dynamic to my product and to further reinforce the genre of my channel.

Interestingly, Total Film uses similar colours and and fonts to Empire, which suggests perhaps these are conventional elements of popular film-style magazine. Red, white and black are definitely colours I will strongly consider in my motion graphics ident.

This film magazine uses a much less populated layout, with less text and more focus on the image. In this case, Kristen Stewart is the subject with a plain grey background - suggesting she must be the focus of the consumer's eye. Also, Sight & Sound's covers are often less colourful than the likes of Empire and Total Film, suggesting that this magazine is aimed at an older target audience of film lovers, most likely whom work in the industry itself.

Screen International changes a lot cover to cover, however each cover is often not covered in loads of text, allowing the depth of the image to shine through to the viewer. Again, the red white and black colours are used, reinforcing my idea that perhaps these colours are conventional of film literature.

This magazine changes colour-scheme and visual look with each different cover published. Despite this, there always seems to be a slight black fade to the edge and a prominent focus of the image itself, over the text. In this cover, Filmmaker have played the image behind the main title, unlike Empire and Total Film, who overplayed their images. The font is quite simple and similar to the other magazines I have found, suggesting that a complex and less readable font perhaps would be appropriate to include in my ident.
