a. The content and theme-

The article mentions things about Myleene’s sense of fashion, her newly launched gowns, talks a bit about her kids and her work. The main idea of this text is to give an insight about Myleene’s life as a model.

b. The audience and purpose –

I think this article focuses its audience on the fans of Myleenewho would be interested in knowing more about her. The purpose behind it to make people more familiar with her life as a model and mother of two. Also, it advertises Myleene’s new gowns indirectly.

c. The structure and layout –

A quote from the interview that Myleene said is the biggest on the page. It grabs the attention of viewers. Then there is a small brief talking about who she is and what the page talks about. Followed by that is a series of questions talking about her new gowns, sense of fashion and children.

d. The style of language -

Simple language is used in this QA. Rosie asked simple questions and Myleene replied with short answers.

e. The tone/mood?

The mood is positive and happy. Some of Myleene’s replies would make the reader laugh which gives a happy vibe to the text.

SATHVIK

THE CONTENT AND THEME:

The article immediately mentions the word “Baby” and on top says Kevin jonas. This pulls in the reader and then once they read the article they see the mention of Kevin Jonas’s soon to be born child and then mentions their anniversary on the 19th of December. The rest of the article is Kevin and his wife answering questions about being parents. I feel that the main idea is to show that Kevin and Danielle Jonas are eager and ready parents but, at the end it also mentions that he is still a Jonas brother instilling the idea that he is still an artist.

AUDIENCE AND PURPOSE:

I believe the article is aimed towards Jonas brother fans and is meant to give fans an insight into the life of Kevin and Danielle. I say this because the article makes sure to mention the “Jonas” name to grab a reader's attention and then proceeds to ask them questions on what would be personal for most people

STRUCTURE AND LAYOUT:

The layout is in an unorthodox style as the main body of the article wraps around the main image of Kevin and Danielle. There are 2 images in this article, one is the entire background while the other is a smaller image supporting a point. The order that the writer conveys their ideas seems to go from bottom left to top and then to the top right and then back down almost making a square in the way it is meant to be read. The heading is quite large and is unorthodoxly put at the bottom left corner of the article.

STYLE OF LANGUAGE:

The language is informal but doesn't go as far as to use slang words but uses simple and common words which makes it easy to understand, this is for the first half oog the article. The other half is a conversation which is informal as well.

THE TONE/MOOD:

The tone of the author is neutral and isn't very excited or sadistic but does slightly lean towards the happier side. The mood for a reader would be anticipation as it is leading up to what could be big news for some people

Asita and Seona - Kevin Jonas

a. The content and theme- What does the article mention? People, places, things, events, etc… What is the main idea of the text?

The article tackles several themes, which mainly revolve ‘parenting’ and adjusting to new lifestyles. This can be identified within the text as “OK!” interviews Kevin Jonas and his wife about their daughter, who is soon to be born. They mention things such as how they’re planning to develop parenting tactics after their child is born and how they plan to continue previous family traditions.

b.The audience and purpose - Who is the article written for and for what purpose? What makes you say these things?

The article is aiming for parents that are going to have kids in the future. They talk about what parenting is like, the goods and the bad things that happen throughout that time. What they should expect and what will happen next. This is also for the Jonas Brothers fan’s as they would love to know what is going on in their idols' lives.

c.The structure and layout - How are the articles put together? Order of ideas? The layout of images? Headings? Etc…

The article features several techniques, which can be found in both tabloids and magazines. For example, the article uses a sizeable bold font (in yellow), which is primarily used to gain the reader’s concentration. On the left and right-hand side of the page, there is an interview to show us what the celebrities said and is a good way to attract the attention of the reader, as this is a way most articles don’t use to show information. The title that has been printed in bold shows us the excitement of the couple for the newborn baby.

d.The style of language - What sort of language is used?

The article uses simple language to make it easy for everyone to read. They use this to make it easier to understand the conversation and what they are trying to tell the reader. Due to the majority of the text being an interview, it was not necessary to speak in a formal manner.

e.The tone/mood? (tone = attitude of the author, feeling = feeling of the reader

The mood shown to us through the text gives us positive thought and makes us feel happy for the couple. The layout and formatting of the page reflect explicitly the emotions of how much they love each other and their unborn daughter. The colour scheme is bright and attracts a lot of attention from the reader; this is usually associated with happiness and can be used as symbolism for their excitement.

Dhriti and Bella - TV's Fiercest Diva

The content and theme: The article focuses on Taraji P. Henson, an actress on the T.V show ‘Empire’. It is an interview that displays how she was able to work hard and achieve her dreams of becoming an actress, despite having a relatively late start in Hollywood. The interview mentions her nomination for the Academy Awards for 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as well as her character Cookie. She discusses how she was able to push through and work her way up to the top, even though she came from a blue-collar family.

The audience and purpose: The article was written for Henson’s fans and the general audience of girls striving to achieve their dreams. The reason for this being that the interview was able to convey to the reader how despite having a late start and coming from a blue-collar family, she worked hard and was able to achieve great things. As the article conveyed through her perspective (1st person) it comes off as being more motivational and powerful. The purpose of the article is to inspire everyone that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

The structure and layout: The layout of the article is very clear and we can see where the questions and answers are. This is because the questions are in bold creating a difference. Having her picture on the side of the writing makes the article seem more powerful and eye-catching to the audience. It also helps the audience know exactly who Henson is. In the middle of the article, they have used a pink circle slightly like a pop of colour which highlights one of her quotes. They have used that same pink to write her name at the top of the article. With the title being in big, bold lettering the article is more eye-catching and also bringing attention to what it will discuss.

The style of language: As this is an interview the language used is more simple and easy to understand, however, it is still powerful and meaningful. By using the title “TV’s Fiercest Diva” The writers would be able to create a sense of curiosity amongst the audience as they would want to know more about who she is, what she does, and how she got that title.

5. The tone/mood: The mood of the article could be to inspire and motivate people. By talking about her success story, and everything that she went through they are drawing the audience in. By reading about her achievements and success the audience might feel motivated and as it is an interview from the actresses perspective, the tone is more powerful and would have a greater impact on the audience.

Meral Saeed=Taraji’s Life
A= The content and theme:

This article mentions Taraji's life. She graduated from Howard University and was working as a superviser on a five-star dining cruise. She talks about her life and how she moved out at 26. As she as well as a son. As she was making good money from being a supervisor, she would have bought a townhouse in Washington D.C. She achieved this all by her working hard as she comes from a blue-collar family, her dad was a metal fabricator. He was a trader as well, so she learned from him all of this and worked and earned money at the same time .at the end her son was proud of her as he mentioned that she always works hard and he has known her to struggle lastly he said: "mom, you are finally getting what you have always wanted." She talks about her success and that it doesn't matter what age you are and what people think of you, ultimately, what you decide will make where you end up.

B= The audience and purpose:

The article is written to Patrick Gomez and it was written so that people see her succeed in life and what she has done and went through that made her get what she wants to be as she faced a lot of struggles but again say she got what she wanted after all of her hard work. This makes me say this because when I read the Article and her story, I can see and feel on what she has experienced that was harsh, but I liked how she tried and never quit. Success can come at any time, there is not prescribe moment, or ideal equation that will lead to success, it is the individual.

C: The structure and layout:

The article structure is neat and simple to follow; as we can see, they didn't put everything together. There were multiples paragraphs. Each paragraph had a heading on what is it about and in bold. The images she used in the Article was just one big image of Taraji on a side and her story on the other side. This creates the effect that she is larger than life, big personality and is justified in having her picture take up most of the page. The paragraphs flow from one major point to another is is concise and clear.

D: The style of language:

The language is strong and formal. It conveys power and accuracy. It is clearly aiming to hit at people who have ambition and need that boost from someone who has probably been in their situation. There are appropriate quotes from Taraji that fit with the questions being asked. The responses are short, clear and pointed. You can feel her personality coming through as well as a hint of pride that she has come this far.

E: The tone/mood:

The tone and the attitude of the other I think it's smooth and well understandable as the mood and feelings I feel like they were calm and angry at the same time when he explained Taraji and her dad's story. I also think that it is passionate. She is passively aggressive in how she describes the way she has come through so much to be where she is.

Sarah - Kevin Jonas

a. The content and theme- The main subject of this article is Kevin Jonas and his wife having a baby as well as how they intend on parenting their child. This is shown during an "OK!" interview where Kevin and his wife are both asked questions about whether they want to bring up their child the same way they were raised and whether they intend to be strict parents.

b.The audience and purpose - In my opinion the article was written for fans of the Jonas brothers and to give them an insight of what Kevin's life is like now and how much he's grown up from when he was a teen celebrity. I believe this because the article made sure than the words "BABY" and the photo of Kevin Jonas were put in the middle to attract attention.

c.The structure and layout - The article's pages are mostly taken up by a picture rather than text. The text seems to be surrounding the image of Kevin and his wife. All the questions and answers are written in columns with the questions bold to make it clear which is which. The order of questions seem to begin with questions more about how excited the parents are and how they feel then it segues into questions about parenting and how they will raise their child. Every heading/title is larger than the body text.

d.The style of language - The whole article essentially, is an interview, thus what was written, is what the interviewer and Kevin and his wife said. This makes the article sound very informal as it was written in informal/conversational/colloquial way. This is seen in the multiple uses of "we're".

e.The tone/mood? The article is very uplifting and happy making the reader excited for Kevin and his wife. The author chose a bright colour scheme and the main photo being of them smiling together which gives off an overall content tone. The pregnancy and talk of parenthood and how excited they are for their new daughter makes the reader feel happy for them and glad that they're happy together.
