- When I was younger, I joined my school’s soccer team. Before joining the team, I had no prior soccer experience but it didn’t stop me from trying out anyway. Of course it didn’t come with a manual, I learned the rules and techniques the more that I played.
- When trying yoga, I had to learn a new position called the Shavasana. It looks really easy, until you actually learn how to do it. I still struggle with it a little bit today.

- In high school, my goal was to make perfect grades to be accepted into the college of my dreams. Now that I am in college (not the one of my dreams but I still love Memphis), my goal is to make good grades to maintain my GPA, and receive my bachelor’s degree in education.
- To reach my goal weight, I stopped eating for ten days and did a water diet. It was hard because I do love food, but I don’t like to exercise and needed a quick easy way to reach my goal.

- In my 6th grade business class at PCA middle, we went on a field trip to JA Biztown. JA Biztown educated us on financial literacy and work readiness by treating us (the children) as if we were adults. JA Biztown is basically like a city for kids; we had our own jobs, bills, restaurants, etc. By giving us hands on training, it gave us a sneak peak on how adult life would be and how we could achieve economic success.
- When learning about a new topic in class, my teacher used examples that we could relate to and were interested in so that we could be more engaged with the lesson and understand the material better.

- In my art class, the teacher placed us in groups of three to create a PowerPoint for the lesson that we had to teach the class. One person covered one section, one person, covered the next section, and one person covered the section(s) that was left. Instead of just memorizing the section that we had to complete, we made sure we learned all of the sections that were included in our lesson.
- When I was in orientation for my new job, it was only four of us there. One activity they had us do was go on a scavenger hunt together to find all of the items listed on the paper.

- When learning about matter in science, the teacher made us complete a concept map to get a better understanding. We created concept maps about matter, and its different properties as well.
- We also learned how to generate hypotheses before doing experiments.
