Venezuela's education is failing, for both students and teachers. During a fifteen minute speech conducted at the beginning of the school day last week, five children passed out due to hunger related issues, two of which had to be transported by ambulance. This issue is related to globalization because of the long lasting affects, in September alone, thousands of Venezuela's school teachers have left their low paying jobs in an effort to support their families. The diminishing affects of a country wide lack if education will have long lasting repercussions for years to come.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/30/world/americas/venezuela-students-hunger.html

Iraq's prime minister has officially resigned due tot the continuing violence in the country. There have been numerous incidents of government agents using violence against their citizens in an attempt to curb the protests that have been continuously irrupting in Iraq. This applies to globalization in the way that we have seen this time and time again across the globe. Bolivia, Hong Kong, and other regions across the globe have seen government violence against people who are only wishing to voice their opinions and access freedoms to a democratic and fair state.
https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2019-11-30/iraq-prime-minister-formally-submits-resignation-amid-new-violence

Children are being forced to flee their homes in order to find new hope. Much like the film "Which Way Home", this article talks about children and immigrants in general fleeing their home in hopes of making it to the United States. This applies to globalization in the way that it shows the disconnectedness of nations and their people. The Trump administration's newest project called "Remain in Mexico is primarily responsible for the policies and procedures not allowing individuals to cross the southern border and into the united States. Adolescents' attempts to cross the border alone often lead to disaster.
https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2019-11-27/the-new-family-separation-migrant-parents-stranded-on-border-send-kids-across-alone
