During a fifteen minute speech conducted at the beginning of the school day last week, five children passed out due to hunger related issues, two of which had to be transported by ambulance. This issue is related to globalization because of the long lasting affects, in September alone, thousands of Venezuela's school teachers have left their low paying jobs in an effort to support their families. The diminishing affects of a country wide lack if education will have long lasting repercussions for years to come.
