2- the teaser clearly presents the title, author, and tone with confidence, however the transition from the teaser to the introduction lack innovation and the characters could use more difference to show how the person driving the car is different from our protagonist

2- while the story arc is very clear along with emotional shifts that follow the story, the story didn't feel like it was building up into a climax with the car crash scene and seem too fast paced

2- choices are clear with the usage of the the rake, holding the basket and driving the car but did not show the transition of the scene well enough to show that the instrument holding was gone when entering Ti-moune's song

3- the whole body was used to bring the character to life with the initial depiction of farmers to Timoune with her hands together praying

3- voice is very emotionally expressive with song and also later when shouting for help of the car crash with a contrast to the deeper storytelling voice at the start

2- characters are distinguishable with Timoune being more up overall in body while the storyteller at the start is low and bent down, though popping is very distinct (though as I have very few characters I don't feel like smooth popping is that much needed, as I think obvious popping is a better fit choice for this piece?)

3- the performance displays very confident delivery and a fully committed performance as all the blocking is smooth and each transition is unique

3- the singing definetly gives a strong impression and the piece is very emotionally resonant. It is cohesive and flows despite being a bit fast along well. With so many actions and transitions, can see that much blocking is done to achieve this piece and had to be polished and gone through many times to achieve this result.

4 the singing in the beginning is very attention getting, and we had a twist to introduce the rest of the story, it also serves as the contextualization of Elle’s future actions.

3 Emotions are not very dynamic, it is stuck in trend. We can improve by creating more up and downs.

4 our blocking is creative ( the part where both characters are turning slowly when having a conversation- it adds on to the “twist” of what the story is about.

4 the characters are shown in different ways and have different characteristics and personalities, the voice change also helps to the audience to understand.

3 some parts of the dialogues are not very engaging, we can add in more emotions or make it more dramatic.

3 the transitions could be more interesting, because currently it looks a bit messy and confusing.

4 i feel like we are confident , we can improve by having more emotions at every moment.

3 I think it’s easy to understand and easy to remember

(Sofia’s evaluation)

2 the teaser includes the info needed for the piece of title and author and the general intro of what the piece is about, but there’s a lack of confidence due to pratice.

2 The 2 narrators have relatively different characterization, but I’m not very good at acting, so it still feels like I’m just being myself instead of authentic acting…

4. There are engagement with the space, but still have to work on the transitions

3. There’s distinct trait for each character, and there are also eye contacts between each character in terms of space

3. Kind of, not really. The second narrator’s voice could be deeper. The little girl’s voice is fine.

3. The popping is not so clear, because narrator 2 has a lot of large movements, so it’s hard to transit immediately to narrator 1, who has a more stationary moevement

4. The performance is still not that authentic since the lines are not fully memorized, so there are moments that I need to stop from the acting and try to remember the lines.

4. The message is clear with the help of narrators. Since the topic of this piece of fairy tale is more well known, the piece is generally appealing.

3-very engaging and understandable, context, background, title, and author’s name very clear, but overall lack specific staging and blocking, need to improve by intruding more actions and movements form the performer.

2- Emotional arc is inconsistent, does not reflect the character’s choice in several characters, however, the emotion on Willie is quiet clear, needs overall reflection on blocking and facial expressions to reflect true emotions of the character.

2 very limited amount of blocking, need complete reconstruction of the blocking and interactions with environment.

3 characters were quite clear, but lack blocking on shaping the characterization of specific characters. From audience point of view, 3 characters differentiate from height, muscularity, quite clear but requires more interactions of environment and facial expression shaping.

3- There are only 3 voices used in total, the old man Willie’s voice was portrayed quite obvious, it is easy to diffrenciate the different characters, but the voice of Ben is just the common voice, overlaps with the introduction, which may cause issues on distinguishing the characters, acquire 1 more voice to change the introducer and the characters in teaser.

3- the popping between characters were clear enough, but needs to be more smoother. At the start of the teaser, Ben facing backwards conveys that he is outside of the door, it is easy to differentiate characters, but overall requires improvement on transitioning and popping into different characters, especially on their blocking and actions after every transition.

3 Strong effort and focus

throughout; believable, logical scene in teaser, introduces the argument and conflict clearly, delivers the humor and good teaser.

2- need strong improvements made to overall performance on blocking, voice, and other characterization.

4 - interesting and humorous plot with funny moments. Lots of plot changes to make it engaging. Monkey King’s soliloquy, his birth as a rock, and the elder monkey showing how he doesn’t belong.

3 - Emotional shifts are present but doesn’t quite build naturally. Strong moments are present, but not sure if audience can relate. At the end, pointed out that Monkey King doesn't belong.

2 - Unclear environment with different pages and lacks constant interaction.

3 - generally appropriate character with very idyllic monkey king and more sarcastic and mean side characters. There’s consistent character changes. Lots of dynamic movement.

2 - monkey king has less change but narrator and other characters have some variety in tone. Unsure if vocal choices enhance performance. Emotional control is unclear.

2 - popping is weird and consists of unclear changes that interrupt the flow. Characters don’t differ as much.

3 - actors are committed and tried to convey emotions and has blocking. Not super confident.

3- Go Leon! Mostly polished speech with some structure, not cohesive and emotionally resonant enough.
