I think students most often violate Commandment #6. I know many students who illegally download books or videos to help them with their work. It is easy for students to download a PDF copy of their textbook for a class and use it instead of paying for a legal copy of it. College is expensive so students often try to find ways to save money when they can.

I think these violations occur because students are not informed of the Ten Commandments. For example, #5 talks about how people should not use their computers to spread false information or propaganda; however, the media often does the same. Students who are unaware of these ethics may not be aware that they are doing anything wrong because they see other people doing it. It is important to inform everyone of these Commandments so there are no uninformed violations.

I think schools need to teach/go over with their students these Ten Commandments. With technology growing at the rate it is, there is even more of a need to education the youth about these computer ethics. If students learn from the time they start using technology about how they should use it, they will continue to do so properly. If there are uninformed and breech these ethical rules, it will be a hard habit for them to ultimately break.
