This week

Students completed the Unit 8 assessment on Tuesday (8.4.2025)
Students continued with Uit 9 - Let's explore!
Students continued with identifying different sea animals and practiced using adjectives to describe them. lesson 9.2
Students will practice using adverbs ending in -ly to describe how actions are being done. Lesson 9.5
Students practiced to give directions (go straight, turn left, turn right) Lesson 9.3

Next week

Students will start reviewing all units covered throughout the second semester (unit 5,6,7,8 and 9). Please look on LMS to find additional practice sheets for each unit.
Some students will complete the end of semester speaking test next week.
Students will finish off Unit 9 after the end of semester assessment. Only the topics that have been covered in Unit 9 will be included.

MATHS

This week

Students continued with Unit 15 - Symmetry, position and movement
Students practiced describing movement by using the appropriate vocabulary. Lesson 15.1
Vocabulary: full turn, half turn, quarter turn, clockwise, anti-clockwise
Students practiced identifying lines of symmetry. Students practiced drawing one side of a symmetrical shape.
Students briefly started with Unit 6 - Money. Students identified the value of VND and practiced adding different notes together.

Next week

Students will complete the Unit assessment for Unit 15 on Tuesday (15.4.2025)
Students will start with Unit 9 - Statistics
Students will look at different graphs to answer statistical and non-statistical questions. Students will use Pictograms, bar graphs, venn diagrams and tables to draw conclusions.

SCIENCE

This week

Students continued with Unit 5 - Light sources.
Students spoke about darkness as the absence of light.
Students investigated how little or no light will affect how we see things.
Students will start to understand how darker objects are more difficult to see when it is dark because of its reflective qualities.
Vocabulary: dark, light source, reflective,

Next week

Students will continue with Unit 5 - light sources.
Students will investigate shadows.
They will understand why shadows appear.
They will also learn how a shadow can change direction throughout the day, depending on the location of the sun.
They will also identify which objects create shadows. Key vocabulary: transparent, translucent, opaque, shadow, rotation.
