Personal leadership traits and examples

1- Responsibility:

During my training in different kindergartens, there was a time when the teacher had to leave suddenly. She asked me to take charge of the class for a longer period. This meant I had to handle not just the usual tasks but also unexpected challenges. It taught me to adapt quickly, make decisions on the spot, and ensure the kids were safe and comfortable. This experience made me more responsible and taught me to be reliable in unexpected situations.

2- Self-Control:

Studying to become a kindergarten teacher, I worked in various schools with different kids. Once, during an outdoor activity, some students started misbehaving. It was crucial to stay calm and handle the situation. I stayed composed, talked to the kids calmly, and redirected their attention, solving the issue. This taught me the importance of keeping a cool head, especially in education, where staying calm helps manage tricky situations.

3- Cooperative:

In a group project, I worked well with others. I listened to everyone's ideas, shared tasks, and made sure everyone contributed. This cooperative approach not only strengthened our relationships within the team but also contributed to the overall success of the project.

4- Encouragement:

Encouraging students is really important when you're a teacher. I remember a time when there was a shy student in my class who didn't join in much. I decided to help him out by asking him to stand up and write on the board. Surprisingly, after that, he felt more confident and started taking part more in class. This small bit of encouragement made a big difference, and he continued to be more involved in our class discussions. It just goes to show how teachers can make a positive impact by giving a little support and creating a friendly environment where all students feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Jameela Al Muhiri and I both exhibit important leadership qualities, such as being responsible, controlling our actions, working well with others, and providing support. Both of us believe it is crucial to be accountable, stay calm, collaborate, and motivate people. However, the way we utilize these qualities differs. Jameela works on a large scale, influencing national education policies in her role as the Minister of State for Public Education. Meanwhile, I might apply these qualities in a smaller setting, such as a college or kindergarten. So, while the main qualities are the same, the size and impact of my leadership roles are not as significant as hers.

Strong communication skills are often needed by students. Jameela role has inspired me in expressing ideas and communicating with diverse audiences. It seems like a useful trait, and I want to develop it this year. Another trait I found in Jamila is her quick decision-making ability because she is capable and confident in assuming great responsibilities. I aspire to become like her.
