My name is Ilaria Tramonti and I'm am the Italian coordinator. I've been coordinator of other European projects before, but this project, that is going on during the pandemic, is really challenging. We have a great coordinator that is trying hard to have the partners meet and the students get the best from the project. I believe 'the blended mobility in Poland' was a success, we tried hard and thanks to cooperation amongst partners we sheduled activities that even if online involved students a lot. My students reallt appreciated the week.

Hi, it's Biannca from Italy. this is my first Erasmus project. in March we had to go to Poland but because of the pandemic we had to do the mobility on the internet. Our Erasmus group worked from school, headteacher and teachers arranged new school timetableas and organization to make it possible. It was nice beacuse it was a break in a very difficult and tiring period for the country and the emtire world, we could meet friends from other coutries. The activities were very nic: the ones I liked the most were the poetry workshop and the 'fake photos' workshop.

The seminars on ‘Internet Safety’ and ‘Cyberbullying’ given by experts in the field, the presentation of the guidebook on quality videos helped us to organize the project activities in the Erasmus Club. It was a great atmosphere between partners and by taking part at the various cultural activities, we better understand the Turkish culture now

The enthusiasm and energy of the Turkish teathers and students clearly played a major role in the success of our meeting.

Carmen E. – teacher/Romania

The online meeting organized by the Polish partner was impressive, first because of the very big number of people who gathered online at the same time from so many different corners of Europe, and then because it was obvious that everything had been carefully organized. Even though the meeting was an online one and not a face to face one, the connection between the participants from the different partner countries was obvious in the common work the students have done, and also in the interest each participant has shown in what the others have presented. It was great for us to find out information about the culture, traditions, food of the other countries, some of the activities, like the drawings and the poems were fun for both students and teachers, and I am sure that the future meetings will help improve the connections which already exist among the participants.
Violeta P – teacher/Romania

I enjoyed the programme which broadened my mind concerning digital use of IT programmes and apps for the production of short TV shows. We also had time to participate in some lessons. I was awed by the fantastic atmosphere and friendly relations between teachers and students accommodating learning. The hosting team ensured very good conditions for both- common work and enjoyable time to remember. I was impressed by the beauty of Istanbul which we had the chance to visit with our Turkish friends. We stayed at Hotel the Parque, rooms were comfortable and quiet.

We especially enjoyed the folkloristic show with dancers and singers that was performed during one of our social dinners.

On the fourth day we attended a particularly interesting workshop on how to use your phone as a professional camera and then we took a walk to the beach to have a try. It was really amazing, students and teachers really appreciated it! Students also liked the visit to Porto and to the Museum of Discoveries, where on a boat they took a tour to discover the many far lands reached by Portuguese explorers.

The topics of the meeting were all equally interesting but what surprises me every time I take part in one of these meetings is how easily students start to cooperate and work with each other, how quickly they get close, make new friends and share experiences.

A special thank to Joao, Cristiana, Paulo and Angelina that gave us the warmest welcome to their country and unveiled some of its secrets.

Corrado, teacher, Italy

The meeting in Portugal was amazing in every aspect. Not only it gave another great opportunity to all the participants of the project to explore the cultural variety between the participating countries, but also let the participants see some of the Portuguese magnificent heritage as well as feel the magical atmosphere of Viana do Castelo and Porto in close-up. I particularly liked all those moments when I could see my students filled with awe when they could see some majestic views and places or when they could try totally different cuisine which they liked a lot. What was also really important was the fact that the students could see how different approaches to various matters can be in different countries, they could learn new things connected with photography, which is so important in our everyday life and also, discover different points of view during discussions about gender equality. All in all, it was an unforgettable meeting which filled us all with great memories regarding beautiful places, good people, delicious food, interesting opinions, involving workshops and debates and last but not least, experience which will stay with the participants forever.

Małgorzata Głuszyk

Chronicle of the week in Portugal- Viana do Castelo : An experience without waste by Carmen Lamata from INS Vallbona d'Anoia, Spain

Whenever I make a trip or outing that takes me out of my routine, I face it without expectations and even certain laziness before starting. It overwhelms me to prepare the suitcase and anticipate what to take and above all to have to adjust every detail millimetrically due to aircraft regulations. This is me!

This exchange to Portugal with co-workers and students started like this, without any expectations, one more experience as a teacher accompanying an international exchange. However, as soon as we set foot at the airport on Sunday 27th at 7:30 in the morning, those little butterflies in my belly (let's call it butterflies, let's call it intuition) began to tell me that everything was going to be fine.

It is obvious that to create this sensation of good vibes, the previous work of the international coordinator, my colleague Carmen Flores, played a vital role, because it is not easy to bring together five countries under the banner of a European project and mobilize 48 people, between students and teachers, in a third country, in this case, Portugal, where everything flows and develops in such an exemplary manner. Starting with our students who have demonstrated great maturity in all aspects, whom I take this opportunity to congratulate, since they have easily been able to adapt to and follow all the proposals and activities that have been proposed to them throughout the week.

The organizing country is another success key to this trip. Indeed, they have been exemplary hosts who have foreseen every detail of the meeting, anticipated our needs and made us feel as a compact international team.

I have nothing else to say, just highlighting the fact that the students at Erasmus TV International are very lucky to be able to join mobilities of this type within their curricula. I encourage them to participate in this and other Erasmus projects, because the experiences outside the classroom can be fantastic!!!

Carmen Lamata from INS Vallbona d'Anoia, Spain

In May 2022, we had the last Erasmus meeting in Vallbona. The truth is, at first I didn't know if I could do it very well… The fact of guiding the students, being able to explain to them about the place where they were... But with everyone's help, we did quite well. It was a new experience, since I had already been a visitor and now it was my turn to exchange roles. I liked the fact that all the Erasmus participants could work together without difficulties. I think it brought us closer together the fact of making the film, because it made us spend more time together and learn to collaborate. In short, I learned that it's not that difficult to communicate with people who don't speak your language and that you don't need to know perfect English to do it and enjoy it… Although you learn a lot more because you're partly forced to. No doubt Erasmus has been an experience and if I ever have the chance of participating in another project, I will.

Eva Beltran, student at Institut Vallbona d'Anoia, Spain

We couldn’t stay that much but I am so glad about the things that I experienced. Culture of Pisa, Florence and Livorno, their people and food, everything was like a dream. Pasta sauces were different from our cuisine but they were nice. The only problem was most of the people couldn’t speak English here but even though they tried to help us somehow and that shows their helpfulness. Except that we had so much fun with our new friends and I am pretty sure that our friendships are gonna be much stronger than that after years. It was so amazing to be in a place where we can see different cultures and places. We learned new words from their languages, some dances and music. I really would love to repeat that again one day and I really recommend everyone who has a chance to participate in such activities. I feel so thankful to my teachers who gave me the chance to experience all of these.

My Erasmus journey started when I was a university student and my memories as an exchange student are still as vivid to me as they were back then. I have been a teacher for 15 years and now I have the pleasure of seeing the same expression of thrill and satisfaction as I had once as a student on my students' faces. We had a disappointing start to the week when one of my students tested positive and couldn't make it to Italy but once we were in Italy, all the nice people and rich culture welcoming us enabled us to get rid of that bad mood at once and lifted our spirits. We all got fascinated by the beauties that the country had to offer. The main theme of the meeting was art which I think totally matches the spirit of the country. My students were so happy to join the art workshops organized by our hospitable hosts. While practising art and sharing nice moments with their peers, they had the chance to get to know one another better. What's more, the trip to Florence was the highlight of the whole week since we visited the Uffizi where we enjoyed quite a few fantastic paintings and statues by famous artists. My students couldn't help talking about the things they had seen there and expressing their admiration all day long which made me ecstatic as their teacher. I believe this project has become an important milestone in their lives by broadening their horizons. All in all, I would like to thank all the Italian team who turned this meeting into a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of us!

Being an English teacher I'm quite accustomed to handle European or International projects, in fact this is my third European Project after a Comenius and an Erasmus project that finished in 2018, but I’ve to say this was quite a special one. n fact after two years of pandemic because of the many restrictions we had in Italy, this was the first chance to meet my partner teachers face to face but also the occasion to make my students understand the importance of the project. In the past two years we actually had weekly meetings with the Erasmus club, we held the meetings online so it was sometimes difficult to give a proper idea of the excitement and the feelings that a transnational meeting can give you. Being the coordinator of the project I had to cope with a lot of stress too, because there are a lot of things you have to take into account in order to make everything go well but as soon as the meeting started I realized that things were going to be fine. Italian students wanted to participate in all the activities including the dinners and they started to familiarize themselves with foreign students since the very first day and they still text each other. Families were very happy to see their children involved in the project, for the first time I had not only a colleague or two involved but a group of teachers willing to help and be part of the project and finally my foreign partners were really cooperative and comprehensive.

From final reports we realized that almost all the activities we organized were appreciated by our hosts but of course everybody enjoyed the day out in Florence and the visit at the Uffizi Gallery.

For me, the meeting was a wonderful experince in every way. First of all, I had the opportunity to meet such wonderful people (students and teachers from diferent countries) and the chance to know about Italian culture and to see some of the most beautiful places in Italy (Florence, Pisa). I also had the great pleasure to see how our students were interested in the activities, how they worked and socialized together with the other students and the creative way in which they were engaged to discover the Italian culture and the cultural places of Livorno.

Finally, I would like to give thanks to the hosting team for the effort made in organizing the meeting and for this great experience.

The mobility in Italy was passionate. The sunsets by the sea showed us an enchanting Livorno, the visit to Pisa made us travel back to the time of Galileo Gallilei, with the conviction that the Easth was moving, Eppur si muove. Florence conquered us because of its cultural richness which was breathed in its streets, and the most important part of our mobility: our partners' great humanity! The warmth with which they accompanied us made the trip very enriching. And of course, we can't forget to mention the delicious Italian gastronomy... We only have words of gratitude.

It also made me more comfortable while speaking in English. Now, I’m more the type to grab life by the cojones, rather than resigning myself to my comfort zone. I’m so grateful that I could be a part of the project and combine studying with fun. We were able to admire absolutely outstanding architecture of Italian cities which was invaluable.

I remember with great affection our first mobility in Turkey back in October 2019 as it was the first time the Erasmus TV International partners were meeting face-to-face at Aziz Sancar Anadoulu Lisesi in Sultanbeyli, Istanbul.

The Turkish Erasmus team and all the educational community gave us a very warm welcome and did their best to show and share their impressive cultural heritage. We were deeply impressed by the variety and beauty of Turkish culture and the high implication of both students and teachers when showing us their performing arts (dancing, singing, music, shadow playing, acting...), Turkish arts and crafts (paper sculptures, crochery, water painting, Turkish handwriting…), and Turkish cuisine and pastries - absolutely delicious and elaborate.

It was also my first time in Turkey. Some landmarks will be stored in my memory forever such as the sunset at the Maiden Tower, the magnificence of the Blue Mosque and Ayasofya, and the busy markets. I loved the mixture of cultures, colours, history and nationalities. However, the greatest impression on my memory is made up by the great hospitality and human qualities of our Turkish partners from Mr Karashi to Ms Deniz Takar, and all the ASAL teachers and students, the school staff and, of course, the families who opened their homes and hosted our students Arnau and Bruna. I cherish all those shared moments close to my heart.

On the other hand, don’t forget our project was born in Turkey, so It was like coming back to its birthplace in order to start its implementation and meeting the partners at last. In fact, all the countries contributed very much to the project and made the most of the seminars, while acting in the first project episode of “The Mysterious Treasure”. All in all, it was a wonderful unforgettable experience with a fantastic Erasmus TV International team.

Carmen Flores, Spanish TV International Coordinator

Most of all, I have to say that I was welcomed by a wonderful family who treated me very well, especially Arda, my great partner. I would not stop thanking him for all the things he did for me.

On the other hand, I have to say that the best moments I had were at school. It’s amazing the way they welcomed me both the students and the teachers. I gained a lot of security and confidence in the little time I spent in the country. All the people really wanted to be with me and we knew each other, for a moment I thought I was famous! Speaking of experiences at school, the best moments were watching a basketball game, playing table tennis with one of the best in the school, and playing football. We all had fun and enjoyed the week.

Thirdly, I was very excited to travel with my great friend Bruna, she made everything even more fun, lively and magical, it is always an honor to travel with her.

Hi my name is Bruna, I’m from Catalonia and I’m 17 years old.
Two years ago I went on an Erasmus with my school to Turkey with my friend Arnau, and my teachers Carme and Angels.
During the days I stayed there, I slept in Ilkselv's house, a really cool girl who was my age.
And also with her parents and her young brother. They are a very lovely family and we had a really good time together.
The erasmus I went to was about tv films, so we had to film a short clip.
We went to school everyday, so I met lots of Turkish teens. And by the time we were in school, we did lots of activities about their traditions, theater plays, their traditional dishes...
We also filmed some scenes, and it came out really good.
It was a really good experience to see how their schools are and how they are educated. It’s very interesting to compare cultures and learn about different ones.
We also visited Istanbul with all the teachers, Arnau, Arda (Arnau’s partner), and Ilksev. We went to Aya Sofya, Grand Bazaar, and we had a walk through the city.
I really enjoyed this experience, and I recommend this adventure to everyone who has the opportunity to go on an Erasmus. You’ll make lots of friends and you will learn lots of new things!
Bruna Rabell, Spain, 17 years old, students of A-levels at present

We are saying goodbye to the Erasmus TV International project (2019-2022) after an intense Erasmus week, from May 23 to 27, 2022, at our high school in Vallbona d’Anoia.

We have shared knowledge and experiences about sustainability and the human impact on the environment with activities such as the speed debate, the photo exhibition at the Vallbona City Council on green issues (to whom we’d like to thank for welcoming us into their facilities whenever needed), a denouncing video, the guided visit to Sitges by CEM (Centre d'Estudis del Mar), the visit to the “Abric Romaní” (NEAN) in Capellades and other activities in Vallbona d'Anoia, Igualada, La Pobla de Claramunt, Montserrat and Barcelona.

We celebrated our cultural diversity and tried to show the good and the best of our region and surrounding areas through the short film "A Return to Anoia's Past" where the European students accompanied those from Vallbona in the discovery of our cultural, historical and natural, starting at the Casa de la Festa d'Igualada and passing through Can Granotes, Vallbona d'Anoia, Colonia Güell and its crypt, Sitges and Montserrat. It was great fun! Don’t miss the film on our Erasmus TV International YouTube channel.

There have been three intense school years, marked by the pandemic and the difficulty of being able to have face-to-face meetings, but very enriching and beautiful for all the participating students and teachers. We improved our English communication skills by making new friends in Europe, we also got to know other cultures and languages and learned to work in wider and more inclusive European teams. We have also improved our digital and audiovisual competence through the production of videos and photographs along the project.

Above all, we have discovered how many things unite us with our European partners and the great value of having the opportunity to travel, meet and share to open horizons. We are grateful to the Erasmus+ program and the Erasmus+ national agency, SEPIE, for their co-financing and the magnificent opportunity for learning and personal enrichment that they have given us during these three years.

As the project coordinator, I am very grateful to all my partners and friends for their hard work, friendship and authenticity. Some of them already knew us from the mobility program in Viana do Castelo.

It was interesting to know Sitges, its fauna and beach as well as the protected area, to know Montserrat mountain and the monastery was very interesting, the Neanderthal excavation place was very good.

Participating in the making of the film was fantastic, having the possibility to see the films of the other mobilities was also very good.

We did several activities at school, it brought us closer as a group, but if there is something I really enjoyed, it was walking and getting to know The Castle of La Pobla de Claramunt.

In conclusion, this was one of the best experiences of the Erasmus project.

Abel Valdrez, Student.

A fantastic experience. This is how I start by talking about this Erasmus TV international mobility event, held in Vallbona d’Anoia, Spain.

Green Issues and Cultural Heritage was the starting point for this mobility and on this subject we met wonderful and fantastic places that tell the history of the region, such as Montserrat mountain, the monastery area, La Pobla de Claramunt Castle and NEAN - Neanderthal excavation site “Abric Romani”.

In fact, the walk to Castle of La Pobla de Claramunt was fantastic and allowed the group to collaborate and help each other, chat and bond.

It was great to see my students integrated into the group, where they already knew each other from previous mobilities and new friendships were made. These projects are for them and I am happy to have participated and to have given all the young people an experience that they will certainly not soon forget.

I would like to thank the whole team of Vallbona d’Anoia Institute that allowed us to carry out this mobility, who welcomed us so well and provided us with magnificent activities.

Joao Barroso, Teacher

The experience of this mobility proved the ability of young people to interact, to exchange ideas, to value their English language skills, to cooperate in order to implement specific work tasks, as well as the opportunity for teachers to evaluate the achievement of the proposed objectives inside the project.

Our students were very enthusiastic and easily integrated into the ”Erasmus TV International” family.

I am really at a loss for words and don't know how to express my feelings. I feel not only ecstatic because we are about to finish the project successfully but also a bit blue since we have come to the end of this fruitful project. It has been quite a long time since we started this project. We have had so many unforgettable memories which I still remember vividly. Unfortunately, we have gone through some tough times along the way because of the pandemic, too. However, this project has enabled both my students and me to gain a lot of experience and let us get to know different cultures as well as quite a few wonderful people. We have built some strong relationships which we will remember as long as we breathe. As for the week that we spent in Spain, everything was just amazing! All the people we met there tried to do their best to make us feel at home. The farewell dinner that we had at the town hall still brings a smile to my face whenever it comes to my mind. It was awesome in one word! We had so much fun dancing and tasting the delicious traditional dishes. I think that event was the highlight of the whole week. Apart from that, I truly enjoyed all the activities and I believe every single one of them matched the main theme of the meeting and served the purpose. My students have got so impressed by this project that each of them would like to be a part of this kind of projects at university, too. Last but not least, I would like to thank all the Spanish team for their hospitality, diligence and also for turning this meeting into a unique opportunity for all of us. Deniz Tacar, Teacher, Türkiye

First of all, I would like to thank the coordinators, teachers and all the Erasmus team for this trip. This was a great experience for us. We saw the works of Barcelona, each of which is a part of history. Within the scope of the project, we met people from many cultures and became friends. We produced solutions about green issues, which is the subject of this project. One of the biggest contributions of the project to us was that it made us think and find solutions to some environmental problems. I think it has given me a lot. I noticed this especially in the project summary we watched in Spain on Thursday. I can't wait to go to Spain again because it was amazing! Zeynep Sena Heptaş, Student, Türkiye

Holding the closing meeting of the ERASMUS program in our town has been an unforgettable and very enriching experience both on a personal and academic level, since not only you learn to use the English language but also learn different values such as responsibility, being kind to visitors, being empathetic with them... Personally, I enjoyed all the activities, since we had quite a bit of freedom, but from everything I've experienced, I'd highlight the free moments we had since then, we could meet and talk to other students calmly and freely. Throughout the ERASMUS program, I have learned many things, such as knowing how to lead, learning to organise events that aren’t habitual, taking responsibility... and on the other hand, I have also learned how to communicate with people from other countries, to lose the shyness of meeting new people and doing activities that are outside my comfort zone. In short, it has been an experience full of learning and fun! Sara Rubio, student, Spain
