Also, spring is the season of sandstorms as it falls between the cold of winter and the heat of summer. How much rainfall the saharan desert gets in the spring depends where is the sahara you are. In the south it is about 1/2 inch in one storm. In the north it is 1/10 of a inch in one night of light rainfall.  Spring is also the season where many camels produce offspring.
