In our Soc Sci 3 subject, I’m truly happy because I finally found the courage and the space to express my emotions. For the longest time, I kept everything inside—my worries, my fears, and even my small joys. But through our discussions and reflections, I learned that my feelings are valid and worth sharing. It feels freeing to be heard, to be understood, and to no longer hide what my heart carries. This subject didn’t just teach me, it helped me understand myself. I saw how much I’ve been hiding behind a smile, carrying silent battles no one knew about, and pretending I was okay even when I was breaking inside. This subject opened my eyes to the truth that it’s not weakness to feel tired, to cry, or to admit that I need help. Instead, it’s an act of courage. I learned that taking care of myself isn’t selfish, it’s an important part of loving who I am and who I am becoming.

As I walked through my personal development journey, I realized that healing doesn’t happen overnight. It’s slow, messy, and sometimes painful, but it’s also beautiful. I want to choose peace over pressure, healing over pretending, and growth over silence. I want to stop apologizing for feeling too much and start appreciating that my heart cares deeply. I don’t know exactly what the future holds, but I know I want to face it with a stronger heart, a calmer mind, and a soul that trusts God even through uncertainties.

Now, whenever I encounter stress or feel overwhelmed, I remind myself to seek God first, because His presence brings the peace that the world cannot give. I am learning to surrender what I cannot control and trust that He is working even in my quiet battles. As the Scripture says, “God is within her, she will not fall.” (Psalms 46:5) And with that promise, I choose to move forward—with faith, hope, and a heart ready to heal.

Before I was introduced to the subject Social Science 3, I would say I was quite careless and unaware of my emotions. I didn’t really pay much attention to my mental health or emotional well-being. I often ignored how I truly felt and didn’t think deeply about how my actions or words might affect others. What changed in me is that I’ve learned to care more about my emotions and mental health, as well as the feelings of the people around me. I’ve become more mindful, empathetic, and understanding, not just toward others but also toward myself. What I learned is that life has its ups and downs, and that’s perfectly okay. I realized that I’m not alone, everyone is facing their own struggles too. I’ve learned to stop thinking like I’m the “main character” of everything, and instead, to be more grounded and appreciative of others’ experiences. As for what’s next for me, I want to be gentler and kinder to myself. I plan to stay humble and create goals for my future because before, I didn’t really have a direction, and it made me feel lost. Now, I want to plan my path, take action, and live in the moment while appreciating every experience. Most importantly, I want to focus on doing things that truly matter and add value to my life.

Before Social Science 3, I tend to suppress my emotions, telling myself that they're people who experience it far worse things than I do. But, because of Social Science 3, I've changed the way I cope, I stopped invalidating myself because the more I suppress my emotions, the more it can impact my mental health. What I learned is that it's okay to feel sad and to ask for help. Asking for help doesn't make you weak, it makes you brave. My next move is, I will be more kinder and gentler to myself. In life, we often feel the pressure to move quickly and to keep up with others but, remember everyone journey is different. Just because someone is moving faster doesn't mean they're ahead of me, we all have our own timeline and it's best to move in our own pace. So to myself, please take it slow, progress is not about speed.

Before this subject or during my previous years, I always tend to pressure myself, focused on my academics more than anything else, which was causing me stress. I thought that small stress can never really affect much, so what I did was I put more and more pressure. But when personal development subject was introduced, it changed me a lot. It made me realize things such as being too much stress can affect not only physically, but also mentally. Now, I learned on how to cope stresses and what coping strategies works the best for me. In the past, I sometimes keep all the problems to my self, and as it gets heavier and heavier, I somehow suddenly cried hysterically, letting my feelings and emotions out. I learned that what I did before was not a healthy way in coping stress and thankfully. I now put less pressure to myself than ever before, expressing my feelings in a healthy way, balanced my outside life and school activities, and spend more time with friends as they helped me lessen my stresses. I am sincerely thankful that we have this subject and to our subject teacher, Miss Carolino as she teaches us well and made us realize what’s bad or good things we did/do for our well-being. I plan to bring my learnings in the future until my very last breath. I may not be that good in applying these strategies, but I am learning especially on my past mistakes and there are many more journeys to come. I will be more gentle to myself, always seeking God that may all good things and blessings will come, and most importantly, reminding myself that I am worthy, capable of doing things without pressuring too much, loved, and cared by my family and friends.

My Personal Development Journey 🤍

Before taking this subject, I used to hide my feelings and handle everything on my own. I believed that showing emotions or asking for help was a sign of weakness. I would often pressure myself to meet high expectations and move forward quickly, even when I was already tired. But through this personal development journey, I learned that it’s okay to slow down and take care of my mental and emotional well-being.

I realized that bottling up my emotions only made things harder. Now, I understand that it’s okay to express how I feel and reach out to others when I need support. I’ve learned to validate myself more, to accept that my feelings are valid, and that rest is part of growth. This subject helped me see that true strength comes from understanding yourself, not from pretending that everything is fine.

I also discovered how important balance is managing my time between studies, rest, and social life. Spending more time with the people who care about me has helped me relieve stress and see life from a more positive perspective. I’m thankful for everything I’ve learned, especially for realizing that personal growth isn’t about speed, but about progress at your own pace.

From now on, I plan to be kinder and gentler to myself. I’ll continue to grow, not by rushing, but by trusting my own journey. I’ll remember that I am capable, worthy, and loved and that every small step forward is already a victory.

My Personal Development Journey 💚

It changed me a lot. Because of the Socsci3 subject (Personal Development). It helped me understand myself better. Because before, I was a boy who was always scared of everything. Scared of being judged by someone. I always think that I'm not enough. But, because of the Socsci3. I thought," why do I care about people's opinions? It's my body. It's me." It gave me comfort and made me feel confident. And i am grateful for that.

I have learned that it's okay to ask for help. It's not about being a fool or not having an idea, it's about asking for something that will help me understand everything. Asking for help is also helping myself from a situation I don't know what to do. It's like asking for advice, asking for guidance. And also, one thing that i learned is that mental health really matters. It affects physical health if not taken care of. And also the last thing that i learned is that I'm enough. I can be whatever i put my mind to. there are times that i think of myself as a failure. But it's actually not, It's proof that i am trying my best. And one day, i can say to myself that i did it. I did it all. And i am always thankful and grateful for that.

What's next for me is, I'll try to make myself a better person. I know that i am not good at something, and i know for myself that i am not the kind of person that always has confidence in everything. But when i try to look into a mirror, i see myself. I see it as a person that is trying his best. It will be worth it.

And i know that i am not perfect, but i can do this.

But this subject changed me in ways I didn’t expect. I’ve learned that it’s okay to cry, to feel tired, and to ask for help when things get too heavy. I realized that being strong doesn’t mean carrying everything alone, it means knowing when to reach out and care for yourself, too. What I learned is that my feelings are valid, no matter how small they seem. I’ve learned to be gentler with myself. I also became more understanding toward others because i know that everyone has battles we don’t always see. What’s next for me is to continue practicing self-awareness and kindness not just to others, but also to myself.

Looking back at my personal development journey, I can truly say that I’ve changed a lot, not just in the way I act, but also in the way I think and see myself. When this subject started, I didn’t know how much it would help me understand who I really am. Through the lessons and reflections, I’ve become more aware of my personality, emotions, values, and goals in life.

Before, I used to focus only on what others expected from me. I would easily get discouraged whenever things didn’t go the way I planned. But now, I’ve learned that personal growth is not about being perfect it’s about accepting your flaws, learning from your mistakes, and continuing to improve every single day. This realization made me more confident and motivated to do better.

I also learned how important self-awareness and emotional intelligence are in building good relationships with others. I began to understand that how I manage my emotions can affect the people around me. This made me more patient, understanding, and open-minded. I learned to listen more and judge less, which helped me grow not only as a student but also as a person.

Another big change in me is how I now view challenges. Before, I would get easily stressed or anxious when problems came my way. But this subject taught me that challenges are part of growth; they make us stronger and wiser. Now, instead of giving up, I try to find meaning in every experience and see it as a lesson that can help me become better.

What I’ve learned from this journey is that personal development never stops. It’s a lifelong process that requires self-reflection, discipline, and a positive mindset. I realized that I have the power to shape my own future by making choices that align with my goals and values.

As for what’s next for me, I want to continue improving myself academically, emotionally, and socially. I want to build more meaningful connections with others, stay true to my values, and keep growing into a stronger, kinder, and wiser version of myself. I know that the road ahead will not always be easy, but with everything I’ve learned from this subject, I’m ready to face whatever comes my way with courage and optimism.

What changed in you? Throughout my experience with personal development, I have learned that change is not always boisterous or extravagant — instead, it occurs quietly in our minds, routines, and choices. This topic has inspired me to reflect deeply about my identity, values, and future identity. This journey of self-exploration has challenged me while rewarding me with greater self-awareness and ownership over my ongoing development.

Prior to studying this subject, I have lived my life with minimal introspection. I mostly simply did my day-to-day duties and goals, without much thought to feelings, motivations, or mindset. As we've had lessons and tasks, I began to be more self-aware. I noticed when I let my thoughts control my actions and noticed the way I was approaching challenges could be affected by my attitude. I became more patient, open-minded, and compassionate —both with others and myself. I learned that personal growth starts where you are, while trying to get to where you want to be.

What did you learn? My personal development journey has revealed that growth is a process without a terminal point in time. I've discovered the significance of setting attainable goals, managing my time effectively, and maintaining a positive attitude – even in challenging times. I have embraced the importance of self-care and strengthened my emotional intelligence to identify my feelings and respond to them in healthy ways. Most importantly, I have learned that success was not simply being recognized for achievements, but rather, being recognized as a person of integrity, kindness, and purpose. I recognize now that this process means that every experience, good or bad, adds to who I am and supports the development of my character.

What’s next for you? In the future, I want to continue applying this knowledge, with greater attention to increasing my self-confidence, communication skills, and decision-making. I will also continue to set personal goals that represent my values and dreams. I understand that the journey requires consistent self-awareness and perseverance, but I feel better equipped to navigate obstacles and remain optimistic. My next step in the self-improvement process is intentionality. I work towards developing in social life, in academics and intellectually, personally, and emotionally, and spiritually as well.

In closing, this course has reminded me that developing in my "self" is not a one-time focus; it is a lifelong journey. My "self" is always developing, and it has changed how I view myself and how I see the world. I am a work in progress each time, and while I am a work in progress, I am proud of my journey and excited about who I am becoming.

Honestly, prior to this subject, I was quite educated about mental health but ironically I was only kinder and gentler towards others but not to myself. I've always put everyone else first and basically became the unofficial "therapist" friend. They would come to me for comfort and I'd always put them first which resulted to bottling of emotions and even neglecting my own mental health to take care of their mental health.

What changed in me is that although I'm still kind and gentle towards others, I've also learned to be kind and gentle to myself as well. I've started to pay attention to my well-being and mental health. Because of Social Science 3, I was able to grow and flourish as a better individual who not only cared about others but cared about herself as well. Other than the fact that I should take care of my mental health and well-being, I also learned that I should do my best everyday. Ever since Miss Carolino told us on the first day of this subject that we should always do our best even if our best is only enough for us to show up, it really stuck with me. On days where I feel tired and exhausted, I'd always remember what she said and I'd always do my best. I also learned that I have potential to be other things like perhaps become a doctor or a swimmer because of the Johari Window, it really opened my eyes that I should experiment and try other things to find my true purpose in life. Furthermore, I think that what's next for me is that I will try to explore different hobbies and interests to learn about myself and embrace my true self. I will also find other ways that will help my mental health in a good way. I want to try to focus more on building and loving myself first before loving others.

Lastly, if someone is reading this— I just want to share my favorite movie quote and my life motto which is: "Carpe Diem. Seize the day. Make your lives extraordinary." from the movie and book, Dead Poets Society. This movie quote helped motivate me to do more, to do my best, and to enjoy whatever life has for me. The past is gone, today is a present, and tomorrow is uncertain. We should always cherish every moment that we spend here on Earth wisely and happily rather than spending it being vain about what happened in the past or what the future holds. We can only seize the day, if we are ready to let go of the past, embrace the present, and not worry too much of the future. So what are you waiting for? Carpe Diem!

— Raine ໒꒰ྀི ˶> ˕ <˶꒱ྀི১

Before taking this subject, I used to believe that I always had to appear strong and independent. I often kept my emotions to myself, thinking that sharing my struggles would make me look weak. I carried so much pressure to meet expectations and keep moving forward, even when I was already feeling exhausted inside. I thought that as long as I didn’t show my feelings, I could handle everything on my own.

However, through this personal development journey, I’ve come to realize that strength isn’t about hiding pain—it’s about acknowledging it. I learned that it’s okay to pause, to breathe, and to take care of myself without guilt. Expressing my emotions doesn’t mean I’m weak; it means I’m human. I’ve discovered that reaching out for help, whether from friends, family, or teachers, is a sign of courage, not failure.

This journey has taught me to listen to myself more deeply. I’ve learned that my feelings are valid and that I don’t have to rush healing or growth. Taking things slowly doesn’t mean I’m falling behind it means I’m respecting my own pace. I’ve also learned the importance of balance: balancing my studies, rest, and personal time. Being surrounded by supportive people has helped me see the brighter side of life and reminded me that I’m not alone.

I am truly grateful for this experience because it helped me see personal growth in a new light. It’s not about being perfect or doing everything right; it’s about becoming more self-aware, compassionate, and kind to myself. I’ve learned that growth happens quietly in the moments when I choose peace over pressure, understanding over judgment, and self-love over self-doubt.

As I continue my journey, I promise to be gentler with myself. I will keep moving forward, not by forcing progress, but by trusting the process. I’ll remind myself that I am capable, deserving, and enough just as I am. Every small improvement, every act of self-care, and every moment of reflection is already a step toward becoming the best version of me.

Looking back, it feels like I've gone through a lot to get to where I am now. It wasn't always easy, and there were definitely times when I felt lost and confused. One of my biggest changes has been in how much I understand about my self and how to control my temper. I've learned to recognize different emotions, understand the importance of self-care, and know when to reach out for help. It's like I've built up a whole new vocabulary and a better understanding of what's going on inside my own head.

I've also learned a lot about myself my triggers, my coping mechanisms, and what truly brings me joy and peace. This self-awareness has been crucial in managing my mental health and making positive changes in my life.

What's next for me? Well, I want to keep learning and growing. I want to deepen my understanding of mental health, explore new strategies for managing stress and anxiety, and continue building a strong support system. It's an ongoing journey, but I'm committed to prioritizing my mental well-being and living a fulfilling life.

My self-improvement journey has been full of ups and downs, and every change I experienced made me a little better. I learned to love myself, enjoy the little things in life, and let my real self show. I had fun and I struggled, but in the end all these experiences were my teachers in patience, strength, and self-awareness. I came to see that growth is not just a matter of winning, but also of losing and taking more and more understanding steps towards me and my fellow humans. My collage has a quote that says, “Love is so short, forgetting is so long,” and it tells me that our feelings are the main part of growth, and it is totally fine to experience and take healing time. So, as I go on, I want to become a better person, set new goals, and keep a positive attitude in everything I do. This journey is still on, and I am the one who is going to face the next challenges with confidence and gratitude.🌻🫀

Before this subject socsci3 this subject is not in junior high school yet in my last school year, I always cannot figure out about my emotions or about my stress I always hide it to others and always to show a happy and always fine but actually I'm not but this subject,I learned that emotions is a play of an important role in shaping of our human behavior, influencing how we think of it, make our/your decisions, and interact with others or trusted people and the stress this is here we explain how we can get rid of stress and where we get our stress from. Ms.Carolino is a great and kind teacher and her lesson is discussed perfectly.

What changed in you? First of all I find really myself standing at the edge of childhood and the beginning of the adulthood. This year has been a whirlwind of changes some are expected, also some is surprising. I grown not just in the age, but in a perspective. The world feels bigger now obviously, and more complex, and I started to understand my place in it. The biggest changes in me now is how I think. I used to see things in my childhood is rainbow or colorful, but now I recognize the shades of gray. I’ve learned to judge less, listen more, and question what I thought and I knew. My emotions have deepened too—friendships mean more, disappointments hit harder, and dreams feel a little bit closer yet more fragile.

What did you learn? I learn in school is it's has taught me a figures and facts , but life has taught me resilience. I’ve faced now challenges, academic pressure, social expectations, and moments of self-doubt. But through it all, I’ve discovered strength I didn’t know I had it. I’ve learned that failure isn’t the end, but a step toward to growth myself. I’ve learned that being kind matters more than being a popular, and that staying true to myself is the bravest thing I can do and lastly to does who destroyed me i ignore them and I don't care anymore.

What’s next for me? I’m not clearly sure about myself. But I have a plan for myself is I want to explore and to learn more about me and the world. Right now, I’m curious about what I can become, and I’m excited to chase of the possibilities. Whether it is acollege, a passion, or a career that I haven’t discovered yet— I know I’m just getting started and as I move forward, I've carry with me the lessons, the memories, and lastly the hope that I’ll continue to grow into a someone I’m proud to be.

I always trust in God and pray always for hope and healthy life of my surroundings. "Romans 12:12 ~ Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." so I believe in god/jesus that hindi tayo susuko at lalaban tayo/ako para sa aking/iyong buhay para maging successful laban to your future you.✨🫰🏻

I think a lot has changed in me lately. I’ve started to see things differently, not everything is about being perfect or making everyone happy. I’ve learned to slow down and listen to myself more. I used to get easily overwhelmed by what people thought of me, but now I’m learning to care less about that and more about what I think of myself. I’ve become a little stronger, a little braver, and more comfortable with who I am.

Life won’t always go the way I plan it, and that’s okay. I learned that it’s normal to feel lost sometimes, it doesn’t mean I’m failing, it just means I’m growing. I realized how important it is to forgive myself, to take breaks, and to be grateful for the small things. I also learned that real friends and people who care about me will stay, even when things get messy.

Honestly, I’m not totally sure, and maybe that’s the best part, but I am trying to shape my own future. I just know I want to keep learning more about myself and what makes me happy. I want to chase my goals, even if I’m scared, and keep choosing to grow. I want to be someone who keeps trying, no matter how many times life gets tough. The next chapter of my life feels unknown, but I’m ready for it. As what I always tell myself; The best way to predict your future is by creating it and dreams will stay dreams unless you act upon it.

I have noticed important changes in myself, especially in how I approach challenges and goals. I have become more self-aware and open to learning, which has helped me grow both mentally and emotionally. One major change in me is my improved ability to manage stress and stay calm under pressure. I learned to recognize my feelings and find healthy ways to cope, such as through better sleep habits and mindfulness. This has made me more confident in facing difficulties. I also learned the importance of setting clear goals and planning steps to achieve them. This mindset has given me motivation and focus in my studies and personal life. I realized that growth is not just about achieving success but also about learning from failures and staying persistent. Moving forward, I want to continue developing my skills and habits. My next step is to build a balanced routine that includes regular exercise, maintaining mental health, and improving my communication skills. I believe this will help me become a more well-rounded person ready to face new challenges and opportunities.

Sometimes, the biggest changes aren’t seen in the mirror but in the way we see the world. Social Science 3 has taught me a lot. I always thought that my mindset and the way I handle things was healthy enough because most people come to me for advice; one of my friends even said that I always seem to say the words she needed to hear. But then when I was learning personal development, I realized that I may have given them good advices and have said the words they needed to hear, but I forgot to comfort the most important person of all: me. I have forgotten to be kind to myself. I have known ever since before what my strengths and weaknesses are, but I often neglect both because I lack confidence. My doubts built invisible walls around me, keeping my light dimmed. Now upon learning the subject, I've learned to prioritize and become kinder to myself like watering a garden I once forgot to tend, finally watching it bloom again.

As I move forward, I hope I will continue to become kinder, not just to others but to myself, because really, how can I pour love into others when my own cup is empty? I've realized that growth is like tending that same garden; it needs constant sunlight, care, and patience to keep blooming. I have learned that growth is not just a single moment; it’s a continuous practice. One lyric from a favorite song says, “Trying once is easy, but discipline is hard,” and I think about it daily and carry it deeply with me. It reminded me that kindness to myself must also come with consistency and commitment.

What changed in me is my understanding of who I am and what truly matters. I used to believe that success was defined only by achievements and recognition. But I’ve come to see that real success is about self-awareness, resilience, and purpose. I’ve become more patient, more open-minded, and more accepting of imperfection — both in myself and others. This change did not happen overnight. It came from experiences that challenged my comfort zone and forced me to grow in ways I hadn’t expected.

From those experiences, I learned that failure is not the opposite of success, but a necessary step toward it. I learned that growth often comes with discomfort and that mistakes are powerful teachers. I discovered the importance of empathy — understanding that everyone is fighting their own battles, even when those struggles are invisible. Most importantly, I learned that progress is not always visible; sometimes it’s about persistence, kindness, and staying true to your values even when it’s hard.

Looking ahead, what’s next for me is a continued journey of growth and purpose.

Before taking Social Science 3, I didn’t really understand how much society shapes who we are. I used to see things only from my own point of view my problems, my opinions, my world. But as I learned more about how people, culture, and social structures influence our behavior, I began to see life in a broader sense. I realized that everyone’s situation and mindset are affected by their surroundings and experiences. What changed in me is my awareness and empathy. I’ve become more observant of how people act and why they do what they do. Instead of judging quickly, I now try to understand the reason behind someone’s choices. “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind, always.” I also became more aware of my role in society how my small actions can still make an impact.

From this subject, I learned that change starts within ourselves. “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” If we want to help build a better community, we need to start by improving our own mindset, values, and behavior. I’ve also learned to appreciate diversity and respect different perspectives, because everyone has their own story. Moving forward, I want to continue growing as a responsible and compassionate individual. I plan to be more active in helping others, even in small ways, and to stay aware of social issues that matter. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Most of all, I want to use what I’ve learned to become someone who not only understands society but also contributes to making it better.

All of us have a secret to hide, wounds to heal, and a piece of ourselves that we've forgotten that is buried in the past. As you aged and matured, the pressure and weight of time may have clouded those memories, but you know they still linger - the pain, the memories, the trauma. But what happens when you decide to face whats been buried, and allow ourselves to heal what was once lost?

A long time ago, I struggled with my emotions - insecurities, constantly comparing myself to others, self-doubt, and criticism. It has been a tough journey to the point I feel numb. I became the type of person that suppressed my feelings, not because I feared being vulnerable, but because I was afraid of judgment. But now, as I work on improving myself, I begin shifting my perspective. I learned to acknowledge my strengths instead of doubting them and I've learned not to be bothered to other people's opinion. This change has been extremely freeing and allowing me to regain inner peace and confidence.

Through this chaos and unforgettable adventure, I've learned significant life lessons that deeply influence my personal growth. One of the valuable lessons I've learned is that prioritize and know yourself better than anyone. In the past, I always seek validation and approval from others - one that made me feel desperate. However, I came across a video that asks "In the grand scheme of achieving your dreams and goals, how much do their opinions matter?" and that struck me. I realized that true achievement comes from within. I learned to understand that no one in this world can save you but yourself.

These realizations molded and shaped me into the person I am today. Whats next for me? Well, I'm the type of person who plans, but when it comes to the future, I don't spend too much time worrying about it. I'd rather focus on working and living in the present because I always believe what you do today would directly affect your future. So, I just go with the flow and live my life to the fullest, trusting to the Creator above that everything will fall into the right place. Moving forward, I know that life will encounter obstacles, struggles and failures, however I will learn to embrace them as a part of my journey and trust that they'll help me grow.

For our teacher, Ms. Carolino. Thank you for the lessons you've taught us. In every activity, it allows us to express our thoughts and reflect on our personal growth. We truly appreciate it ma'am. Thank you for helping us realize the importance of well-being. See you around, ma'am!

My Personal Development Journey ❤️‍🩹

Looking back, I can honestly say I’ve changed a lot? not just on the outside, but in how I think and handle life. Before, I used to overthink everything, compare myself to others, and feel like I was never enough. But along the way, I learned that personal growth isn’t about being perfect, It’s about progress. I realized it’s okay to mess up sometimes because every mistake actually helps me learn more about who I am and what I’m capable of.

One big thing I learned is self-love. Like, real self-love not just the “treat yourself” kind, but actually accepting my flaws, forgiving myself, and appreciating how far I’ve come. I also started to take my mental health more seriously, communicate better with people, and stop wasting energy on things that don’t help me grow. These small changes made a huge difference in how I see myself and the world around me.

As for what’s next, I’m just focused on becoming the best version of me. I want to keep learning, exploring new opportunities, and surrounding myself with people who bring out the good in me. I know I still have a lot to figure out but that’s the exciting part. I’m growing, evolving, and becoming the person I’m meant to be. 💫✨

Well I am fully aware of my changes as a person. Changes that made people either like or dislike me. But, either way of their perspectives, I want to state mine. As a bubbly girl who also tends to pop out and vanish in thin air. So bare with me, or not. For me, firstly is my appearance, I used to have chubby cheeks as a child. I was used to being called "Aping" which means cheeks because of it, but now, I get called skinny in a way. Aside from appearance, my mindset and goals changed. I learned to be strong, my parents showed me that, as a kid, even now, I get sick easily, I saw how my parents struggled yet managed to be superheroes in my eyes, they showed strength and care, like what superheroes do. I like being jolly, not to seem cute, but to be positive. Because growing up, I tend to already see the toxic sight of our world, yet, my parents shielded me from it. For me, next is I want to study hard and graduate. By then, I will look for a job and maybe pursue my dream career. Maybe by years now, I will be living out of the country. I want to spoil my family with everything, I want to secure a stable life for my own children too.

I want to share my own personal quote, "Just like in books, every chapter has something we look forward to, so take the thrill and be as adventurous as you want to be."

Before, I used to hide what I truly felt and pretend that everything was fine, even when it wasn’t.

Before I proceed, I want to say that I love the Soc Sci 3 subject because they value the students' feelings and share their true emotions, which is a big help for us to lighten our hearts, so we're happy and thankful to have a wonderful facilitator .

So,at first everything started when I was already pressuring myself to pursue my academic status, so I could brag to my parents that their child was doing everything to make them proud. However, as I continued, I just realized , what's the point of getting a gold medal if my soul lacks happiness?

When I left after graduation, I left behind many things , friends, happiness, motivation in life, my own personality, abilities, and many more that you mightn't expect. Despite the academic pressure, my friends didn't fail me; they were my stress coping mechanism If I'm in the lowest moment of my life .

When I stepped into Grade 11, I Already promise to myself, "I'll leave academics behind this year and replace it with happiness together with new Friends." I changed, and at first, I regretted it, thinking that the decision I made was a big mistake, my grades drop immediately, Dissapointed that sometimes I got stunned and think for a while, Is it right? but, However, my parents supported my life decision and valued it, so I also valued what was around me and enjoyed the flow of studying without pressuring myself too much.

Remember this, Life doesn't just revolve around academics; there are things that we should value, and that's the life of our soul. Let's make the most of every hour, wherever we are, be content and humble with the flow either lessons or success.

My Personal Development Journey

When I think about who I was before and who I am today, I realize that so many things have changed not just in how I act or think, but in how I see myself and the world around me. My personal development journey has been full of lessons, challenges, and moments that shaped me into a more confident and motivated person.

At the beginning, I used to be shy and unsure of what I could do. I often compared myself to others and felt afraid to speak up or make mistakes. But as time passed, I learned that everyone grows at their own pace and that it’s okay to stumble as long as you keep moving forward. I started to believe in my own potential and discovered that confidence comes from trying, even when things aren’t perfect.

Through different experiences in school projects, group activities, and even challenges that tested my patience I've learned to manage my time better, communicate clearly, and cooperate with others. I realized that success doesn’t come instantly; it takes effort, consistency, and a willingness to learn. I’ve also learned the value of kindness, because being kind to others (and to myself) makes every goal more meaningful.

There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, but those times taught me resilience. I learned that growth doesn’t always happen when things are easy it often happens when you keep going despite the difficulties. These experiences helped me become stronger, more understanding, and more mature.

Now, I can proudly say that I’ve grown into someone who believes in progress, not perfection. I’ve become more positive, goal-oriented, and aware of the person I want to be. I’m no longer afraid to express my thoughts or chase new opportunities, because I know that every step, no matter how small, brings me closer to becoming my best self.

What’s next for me is to continue learning and improving. I want to set new goals, explore new interests, and use everything I’ve learned to make a difference not just for myself, but for others too. My journey is still ongoing, but I’m excited for the next chapters of my life and the person I’m still becoming.

The life of a student-athlete is a constant balancing act, a demanding journey that shapes you in deep ways. Looking back, I can clearly see how the challenges and achievements of the past few years have transformed me, taught me invaluable lessons, and set the stage for what's to come.

One of the biggest changes has been in my understanding of commitment. Specifically, I viewed commitment as simply showing up for practices and games. Over time, it evolved into a deeper, more complete concept. I learned that true commitment means dedicating myself fully to every aspect of my life, from academics to athletics to personal growth. This shift has taught in me a sense of discipline and responsibility that extends far beyond the playing feild

I've also learned the importance of persistence and resilience. The road to success is rarely smooth, and I've faced my share of setbacks and disappointments. Injuries, losses, and academic pressures have all tested my limits. But through it all, I've learned to never give up, to keep pushing forward even when things get tough. This resilience has not only made me a better athlete but also a stronger, more determined person.

Looking ahead, I am excited about the future. I plan to continue pursuing my athletic goals while also focusing on my academic pursuits. I want to use the skills and lessons I've learned as a student-athlete to make a positive impact on my community and the world. Whether it's through sports, academics, or community service, I am committed to making a difference and leaving a lasting legacy. The journey of a student-athlete is not always easy, but it is definitely rewarding, and I am grateful for every opportunity it has given me to grow and learn.

Throughout my personal development journey, I have noticed many changes within myself both in how I think and how I act. Before, I often doubted my abilities and felt unsure of my goals. But through the lessons and experiences I encountered, I became more confident, responsible, and self-aware. I learned to manage my time better, communicate more openly, and believe that improvement starts with small, consistent efforts every day.

One of the most important things I’ve learned is that growth takes patience. I realized that mistakes are not failures, but lessons that help me become stronger and wiser. I also discovered the value of self-love, understanding that it’s okay to rest, to set boundaries, and to focus on my own well-being. Through this journey, I learned to listen not only to others but also to myself. I became more grateful for the people who support me and more mindful of my emotions and actions.

As for what’s next, I want to continue improving myself and applying what I’ve learned in real life. I will keep setting goals, no matter how small, and work hard to achieve them. I know that my journey doesn’t end here but, it’s a lifelong process of learning, growing, and becoming the best version of myself. I’m excited for what lies ahead, and I’m ready to face challenges with courage, optimism, and a smile.

Throughout my journey during the discussions and lessons in the subject Personal development, I've realized and learned so many things, I can keep, treasure, and surely use in the present and in the future. Before, I thought this subject would just add stress to my life, and I've proved that right at the same time wrong when the first activity was conducted, when we were asked things about ourselves, a very basic activity, but somehow got me thinking so hard to the point I questioned my own self, "Who do I really am?" or "Am I really that person that anyone knew, or am I just copying and impersonating the person I wish that was me?".

At that moment, I was struck with hundreds of questions; I never knew the answer. Before, in my childhood favorites, one of these was the color pink, but when I grew older and became a teenager, I refused to say " I love pink" since, for me at that time, pink symbolized softness, vulnerability, and weakness, things that I could not let people know, so I just answered black. But now, if I were to ask myself that same question, I can now confidently state and write my answer that "I am just a girl who really loves and admires anything that is pink."

This taught me that being myself and loving the things I truly love will really cause me to be weak and vulnerable in the eyes of others but the I can be stronger and fiercer in my own eyes, realizing that their judgement about my past, the pressure they pour on me to be the person they want me to be, will not really forever matter in my future because I now believe the quote by Cara Leyba that "No one is coming to save you, to give you permission, to choose you, or validate you. This has always been your job. You must love yourself so fiercely and fully that you have no choice but to be strong for yourself, to fight for yourself, to be yourself, and to build yourself."

The things next for me will be the things I love for myself and not the things anyone wants me to be. I now refuse to grant their expectations because I know that in the future, the one who will suffer and regret forever is obviously not them but me.

A big thanks to this subject because I now learned to love, choose, and value myself even when others couldn't, a thing I couldn't even think to do before.
