- scheduling: Lesson plans are interfered with. In some schools, students get time off when other grade levels are testing. Testing periods are normally longer than a normal class period.
- Preparation for the testing: People have to be trained to proctor the test, and teachers take time out of their lessons to prepare students for the specifics of the testing. It also costs a lot of money to prepare for the tests, and getting all of the needed technology ready as well.
-Testing space: Testing often times takes place in bigger rooms like libraries, music rooms, and art rooms, so during these times, teachers and students aren't able to utilize these rooms and their resources.
-Test feedback: Test feedback isn't done in a timely manner. Teachers want to be able to use the results to better learning in the classroom, but by the time results come in, the data could be irrelevant.
-Certain mandatory tests take time away from other tests: This time could be used for tests in AP courses and other advanced classes that could help students earn college credit while in high school.
