S. peroris is less related to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neisseria">Neisseria</a> pharyngis, another fairly pathogenic bacteria to animals.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As mentioned, not much is known about S. peroris. But this study was conducted to observe the flora of an infants mouth from birth to 2 years old. S. peroris is found in the infants mouth until around 30-39 weeks old, where it rapidly decreases.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Reflection</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is extremely important to learn how to use the 16S rRNA and phylogenetic trees for unknown organisms. In this project, we were given the sequences to begin with and didn't have to worry about sequencing our organisms. However, if in the future we get to research where we need to identify an organism by sequencing them, this process is how it would be done. It's important to understand how 16S rRNA sequences can also be used to show the relationship of the organism being researched, and what some similar organisms are. This is helpful in trying to identify potentially new characteristics of an organism. It is extremely important to continue researching the microbiome because the more we know about the microbes that are around us, the more we can help people that they may affect. Two projects that really stood out to me and were done very well were <a href="https://padlet.com/smitkani/nhb7l1k9tdkn">Kayla Smith's</a> and <a href="https://padlet.com/gfricker1/3dq9c9sxvauq">Gabby Fricker's</a>.</div>]]></description>
