2 Gale Articles
1 library book

A. "Playing sports is a great way to have fun and stay fit. And anyone who has played sports knows that you have to pay some extra attention to your health''.
B. ''Cardio for endurance. Run for 30-45 minutes. Run at a slow to medium pace for 5 minutes to warm up then do short accelerations (not sprints) lasting about 30-60 seconds, running at the slow to medium pace 3-4 minutes until your breathing recovers, repeat about five times. Allow for 5 minutes of slow-medium pace running at the end as a warm-down. You can do the cardio on a stationary bike but the workout should be twice as long. A cheap ($30-40) heart rate monitor will help gauge your effort and will work just as well as a $400 one. My Sports Instruments monitor always had problems before dieing, but my Polar has been rock-solid''.

Shoulder Pads
A;when making contact, especially when tackling. Players whose positions involve lots of contact, such as linemen, need heavier and more secure shoulder pads than other players do.
B;HelmetA head injury is the most dangerous type of injury that a football player needs to be concerned about. Choosing a helmet that is the correct size and that has the proper padding can minimize this risk. To measure head size accurately, the player should have someone wrap a tape measure around his head so that it passes one inch above the eyebrows.

England was the first country where the game was developed and codified. The modern global game of Football was first codified in 1863 in London. The impetus for this was to unify English public school and university football games. There is evidence for refereed, team football games being played in English schools since at least 1581. An account of an exclusively kicking football game from Nottinghamshire in the 15th century bears similarity to football. England can boast the earliest ever documented use of the English word "football" (1409) and the earliest reference to the sport in French (1314). England is home to the oldest football clubs in the world (dating from at least 1857), the world's oldest competition (the FA Cup founded in 1871) and the first ever football league (1888). For these reasons England is considered the home of the game of football. [1]
