I think that the theme so far is to judge someone based on their past. No one in this town knows who Joseph is. They have never gotten to know him they just think they know him based on what they've heard. All they know is what he has done in the past.

One of the main conflicts that joseph has faced so far is the struggle to reunite with his daughter, Jupiter. Joseph is determined to find and become a part of her life but he encounters many obstacles along the way.

Joseph is a complex character. He is a troubled teenager who has faced a lot of challenges in his childhood. He's determined and resilient, despite the hardships he's faced. Joseph's love for his daughter, Jupiter is evident throughout the book. He's willing to do whatever it takes to be with her, even if it means facing judgement and prejudice from others. Joseph's character teaches us about the power of love and perseverance.

I think that there is a very big conflict between Joseph and his dad. Throughout the book, it is shown that his dad wants to continuously see Joseph, even though legally he is not allowed to. Jack's parents even see these conflicts by backing up Joseph whenever his father tries to see him. There is no clear reason why there is a conflict here. But I think that a reason could be because of Madeleine and Jupiter. I think that because he was never home with his dad because he was out with Maddie. That he wasn't able to help out in the house. His dad started to beat him because of this. This is the only evidence that the book has provided us on why there could be a conflict here. The conflict is shown when Joseph's dad walks over to Jack and grabs him on the shoulder. Joseph responds to this situation by saying, "Don't touch him!" This shows that Joseph is not afraid to stand up for himself, his friends, and his family when his father makes a bad decision.

While forming a deeper bond with Joseph he starts to become a source of support. Jack's empathy and willingness to stand up for him had grown throughout the book so far and they have what seems to be an unbreakable bond.

One of the central themes in "Orbiting Jupiter" is second chances. Joseph, despite is troubled past, is a character who is seeking redemption. He wants to be a good father, and find the place where he belongs. Evidence of this theme can be found in Joseph's determination to see his daughter, Jupiter, despite the barriers in his way. This is shown when Joseph says, "I'll find her. No matter what. I'll find her."
