She also sat on the board of directors of the Lost Creek Municipal Utility District (Lost Creek MUD) and served as a historian with the Lost Creek Neighborhood Association (LCNA). Nancy Naeve’s work with the Lost Creek MUD included helping to establish the two-acre Whitemarsh Valley Walk Park on the north side of Lost Creek. Her work with the LCNA included authoring a definitive history of the organization as well as a Texas Forest Service-informed article on fire safety with tips that apply far beyond the Austin area. Ms. Naeve’s other accomplishments include partnering with the Lost Creek Garden Club to create a new Lost Creek nature trail and spearhead a key Lost Creek street median beautification project.
