  • Vietnam War - From 1955 to 1975 there was a civil war between the communist North and pro-western South. There was involvement from France, the United States, China, etc.
  • Algerian War - The war from 1954 to 1962 for Algerian freedom from France, the war ended in 1962 with a signed agreement allowing Algeria to become independent.
  • The Civil rights act of 1964 - Ended segregation because of race.
