Last year, Van Ecker/Couder & Associates, a Brussels-based brokerage company, raised E40.000 donated 85 Liters of Blood and planted 550 Trees in another successful year of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities, all down to continued commitment of its employees.

In the last year, Van Ecker/Couder & Associates' employees across its offices in the Belgium and Hong Kong have raised almost E40,000, donated 114 liters of blood and helped to plant 550 trees to compensate for the company paper usage-all in the name of CSR.

Hugo Simons, HR Officer and Team Coordinator, Van Ecker/Couder & Associates comments: Giving back to the communities in which we operate has been a focal point of our business for the past five years.

Van Ecker/Couder & Associates dedicated CSR strategy involves helping the communities in which it is based as well as three key elements- education and financial literacy, the environment and creating opportunities for young people-all of which are underpinned by the company's corporate giving policy.

VAN ECKER/COUDER & ASSOCIATES CSR WORK OVER THE PAST YEAR INCLUDES:

· Blood donations: Between December 2013 and December 2014, Van Ecker/Couder employees have donated approximately 85 liter of mobile blood units. With every liter potentially saving the lives of 8 people. That amounts to saving the lives of 680 people in one year.

·  Helping the environment: In the last year Van Ecker/Couder calculated that it had used over 2.4 million pieces of paper.

·  Fund raising: Through a number of fund-raising activities Van Ecker/Couder employees have so far raised almost E40.000 for their chosen local charities since October 2013.
