It takes 1/3 of the second between light landing on your retina and your brain registering it to turn it to a full 3D colour vision. You have an extra circle that analyses anything that could be a threat and then just throws the information’s away. So it’s always looking for a threat and that’s why your brain will always react to sparkly things.
